darkroot forest first w/o killing demons

ok so this is the only reason i have joined i have not seen it posted anywhere else so here it goes....
i know as the theif when u start out u get the masterkey and a gift(pendent) so has anyone tried to escape the asylem and with out killing any bosses go to the forest hunters covenent to talk to shiva via the hydra ladder? and then back down to the place where he is a merchant via the drakes valley maby he has other roles that can be triggered in the form it says on his page he was suppose to be a bad buy but i have never seen it a black eye for him or other conversations. also has anyone killed his bodyguard then wo killing him cleansed there sins and tried talking to him.

I think I read in a text dump that Shiva was in fact supposed to be leaning towards a more sinister roll, I just thought it was taken out in the final game. I know there's a bunch that can be done before taking out the gargoyles. Vegeta31 has an awesome video showcasing everything that's possible before the gargoyles. Anyway, you may be onto something. Remember that you cab choose the master key as a gift for any class, you're not limited to thief. Good luck!

ok i just got past everything i can i have beat no demon other than the asylam u can get down to the emortal dragon also all with out beating a boss also via the valley of drakes u can fight backwards through the qullag domain and talk to shiva downthere but becareful all the guards of the forest will attack you before u talk to the cat also u can talk to the blacksmith in undead burg and fully clear that area before u fight the turas demon

You never have to fight the Taurus Demon. Many don't to keep Burg open for PvP. If you take the master key as a starting gift, you can instead opt to kill Havel and access the rest of the game through the Darkroot Basin Shortcut. I think this is probably easier than going through the Valley of the Drakes to access Darkroot.

You can complete all of Blighttown/Great Hollow/Ashe Lake/New Londo/Catacombs/Darkroot/Quelaags Domain and most of Demon Ruins before fighting the Gargoyles, should you chose to. You only have to fight them to advance the game through to Sens & Anor Londo

As for Shiva, I've only ever seen his covenant based dialogues. It would be cool if Shiva did have hidden dialogues, but I think that given the amount of time the game has been out, they might have been discovered by now. Good luck with it though, never stop trying to figure out the games secrets

is there a way to give him the chaos blade or anything to do with it? in the dump it says he wants it like in demon souls with namless

also about the pendent there is a picture near where reah prays at the end with a lion and a man offering something i cant tell what the other thing is in the above them any ideas

ok another thing i just got back to the firelink shrine and the firekeeper is dead but i have killed no bosses yet but i did run all the way to the beggining of blighttown to c if i could open the door without killin the dragon boss. i also have not let golden guy out of his cell.... anyone got any ideas?

Did you grab any Fire Keeper Soul in Blighttown? Do that and the crazy bastard of Carim will free himself then kill Anastacia.

y yes i did damn it i didnt know thats what triggered it so i guess its safe to assume that he is after all the firekeepers souls

Lautrec will kill her if you pick up all the three firekeeper souls (parish, blighttown & new londo - in whatever order), even if you haven't freed him yet. He will also kill her after ringing both bells.
You can kill the chaos covenant leader and use her soul as well, as long as you leave one of the other souls where they are. So it's possible to get your flask to +3, while Lautrec is alive, without Anastacia dying.

i only picked 2 up the one in the church and the one in blight town

i have two more questions
1) has anyone killed only the two demons to ring the bells then travled to anor londo to c if i changes anything?
and
2) in the room where logan sits in the libary there is only one books spine thats legable and is says four words i can only make out three but it says playfails ......... family antiquity? any ideas on what that other word is and does it mean anything i have only found it in that room..
