Argh! Forest Hunters!

Some of you are alright. Kudos to you guys & girls!

The others.. You guys piss me right off!
Not only do you come to fight in full Havel, Giant, Masks along with
your cheap lightning weapons and your DWGR.

You then proceed to lose a 1v1 fight and retreat to mobs. Then once the host has
been surrounded you heal and backstab then taunt away as the host phases out.

You people aren't good. Your not talented...
It's almost sad that you use everything that's considered overpowered and you STILL
CAN'T win a 1v1!!

And yes... This happened to me. And I'm massively butt hurt about it. -_-
God would they get a *** ear full if I ever met them in real life.

Some of us are bad, and I mean bad, in morals and skill. Even fighting gankers 2v2 I'm only guaranteed a few seconds of reprieve to kill the opponent, most of them don't seem to win 1v1 against gankers who are generally pretty bad at dueling themselves.

I try so hard to keep PvP that I'm involved in fair.
Yet so many people take advantage of it. I don't wanna have to stoop
to their level, using their gear, playing by their rules.

But with so many people playing like that I might have no choice.
Or quit. :/

I host on occasion there and the burg. I love when guys waste Lloyd's talismans on me. Happens a lot, just shows how accustomed to "win at any cost" fights the community is

Guess why I don't host in the forest. The 1 hunter usually either dies or runs off before the second hunter invades, and I still win. I like the 1v3 ganks I invade into, they're usually a challenge at least, but the 1v2s as a host are usually a slaughter, not a fight.

Luckily my internet isn't usually good enough to get ganged up on as a host. But you're right. The Hunters have a lot of advantages to fight a gank

I just wait in the open patch by alvinas house. Doesn't matter where they go, what they do, how many of them there are, I just wait untill they feel confident enough to come to me (this is usually when there are at least 2 and both have buffed), then I kill them. Its almost sad.

As I said, the invasions are fun. I like the 1v3s as tests of skill and quick thinking, but hosting is just boring most of the time. The hunters are generally better than the hosts/phantoms, but not often is it enough to make up for there only being 2 of them instead of 3.

Sometimes this game drives me nuts!

You can have a couple hours PvP which goes so well! It's played
skillfully by everyone & is a good laugh.

Then all of a sudden it shifts & all the cheaters, idiots & sore losers
flood out.

I can take winning & losing, it happens. What I hate is being beaten and having it rubbed in my face
by some scrub who employed as many cheats, glitches & cheap tactics as possible to solidify their win.

And people who gank... Well I think they gank cause they know they lack the abilities to fight 1 on 1.

I wouldn't try to maintain honor in the face of cheap tactics. If I get ganged up on, for example, I'm not a good enough player to say I can beat them with honorable fighting. If someone tries to bs fish me, I'll counter stab them. If they have the hornet's ring I'll make it a chain. If you heal in a 1 on 1 I'll punish with bs. Honor in battle only exists while both sides adhere to it. Otherwise, it's a luxury for the strong. If I got ganged up on in real life you can bet your *** I wouldn't fight fair.

If you're looking for a place to PvP full of nice, fair, and non-douchey competitors, the Forest is the last place you should be. With both invaders and hosts bitter to the core from being ganked and cheated over and over, you really won't ever enter a match that you aren't going to rage at afterwards. Though there might be some decent people on both sides, they'll surely be drowned out by every other player in there.

When I'm hunting in the forest, I go for blood. Only rarely do I run into a quester. If, for some reason, the host isn't engaging me (which is rare), I'll only go for the phantom (always keeping an eye on the host). But, other than that, all rules are off.

You can't go into the forest looking for an honorable duel. The forest isn't a place for it. It is a place for an all out war.

And hate crimes committed by trees

I Giftwraith the forest from time to time, just to help take the edge off of everyone in that cesspool.

I rebecame a forest hunter and its just what happens. Guys do cheap things to me... and if i see a 3v1 against me i go all out and cheapkick ***

thats just how its done in the forest.

Though if someone wants to duel....and thats few and far between.... im only to happy to oblige

I found out that hosting in the forest can be much more fun than invading. Do you know how gravelording works? Bring some eyes of death to the fores. What I do its to set a base camp in front of alvinas house, wait a few seconds and sundently you're fighting three people at once, with a high chance of a red spirit to invade and backstabs some blue guys. Its hard, but extremely fun and satisfying when you beat them all. Forest = no rules. Thats the only place where I use estus, when they don't throw some strange white stuff on me
