second playthrough is a joke

Everyone talks about how hard second playthru is but i think its ridiculously easy mostly one swing kills....do u think its a good idea to drop all my stuff and play my second playthru without all my upgraded weapons just like the start of the 1st playthru....has anyone tried this? And if u did..did it make it alot harder?

How about instead of dropping them, you put them in the bottomless box...
Just seems like a less, "Why did I do that?!?!?" moment-causing idea.

Cuz i know when it gets really hard im going to bd tempted to grab my +15 serpent greatsword

PvE is easier based on your level. NG++++ is much harder, NG++++++ is nearly impossible for some builds (of course if you keep leveling up though, and become an, I do everything build, it won't be as bad). NG+++++++ is a fun nightmare, you'll want those weapons at that time, and need them.

I made it to ng+5 and it was easy as can be...the only challenge was the four kings

may i ask what sl you are, and what weapons/armor you have? such things kind of have a big impact.

The second playthrough is very easy, that's correct.

You just say "second playthrough is a joke" without telling us anything relevant.....

......did you finish NG at level 65? Or 147? ...in between? Higher? Lower?

Sort of a big factor. You may have just massively overleveled.

I always assume that people who claim a game with a tough reputation is easy aren't that good at it. Like how you'll never see an elite PVPer with the name IAMGR8AtPVP!!!

Not sure why ng+ is in question when you made it to ng+++++. Of course it's going to be easy after that many plus signs. I suggest going to seven plus signs then retiring!

NG+ is easier for most parts yes, as you the player has gotten better and learnt how enemies attack etc.. On NG+ I killed the Taurus Demon in 2 shots, equipped my Lightning Flamberge +4 and double handed slammed attacked if from above, took 90% of his life away then swung when I landed under his feet, boom dead!

I died about 5 times when I first started

Who is saying just because i think that its easy that i am ****...ny opinion is that if u dont agree...that u suck...cuz the first playthrough is the harder than new game+'s

Yes it can be easly compared to childs play, drs itself isent that difficult of a game its when you get too full of yourself that you start making mistakes tis rather fun to see people rage about drs difficulty even if its more of having the common sence to view your surroundings and evaluate your options.

Whether or not it's easier is determined largely by individual skill and gear. If you struggled to beat the game the first time through, and you're just not that great of a player then it probably won't seem so easy.

Of course if you learned how to play well and got some decent gear like most people it will probably feel a lot easier than you expected. There are some odd situations in NG+ for me though.

Like that time I wore full Smoughs and in my first playthrough got stabbed by a monster that did little to no damage to my health bar. Then suddenly in the next playthrough he took off almost half of my health with the same attack while still wearing smoughs.

(Never understood some of these moments.)

If you want a harder game on NG+ why not just try going through the game with armor that isn't made for PvE? Or you could do like some others do and not use any armor at all during your NG+ playthrough, it normally makes things a lot more interesting.

i did a ng4 full dragonoid run with no shield and only dragon weapons

do an Sl1 pyro playtrhough, see how many ng's you can get with that

The second playthrough can be a joke depending on your sl/build/weapons/armor, etc but it can also be insanely difficult with a no leveling character with only a select choice of weapons. It's up to you to make it a joke or not.

There was a thread not too long ago detailing the jump in hp, souls yielded and damage output and apparently with each subsequent ng the hp, damage and souls jump by 7%.
