    Wishful Sinful Empty Wishful Sinful

I noticed recently that abandoning a covenant to join another covenant does not appear to count as a 'sin', as I thought I would get an egghead for betraying the Chaos covenant (for example) and did not.. nor did Oswald want to fine me for any wrongdoing when I went to him to confirm it.

Is this standard amongst all players? If so then it must severely reduce the opportunity for Blades of Darkmoon invasions; I had been hoping to encourage some surprise PvP for myself by being naughty. Is there any chance of getting a page on the wiki explaining the sin system - how/where to accumulate it (...depending on your faction?), answering questions like "Is your 'sin-count' reset to zero upon a successful BoD invasion?" etc.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, you will have sinned if you either A, make Anor Londo dark by killing amazing chest, B, kill Gwydolin, and C, invade as anything but a DM and kill the target/host, and he indicts you.

You also get sin by killing non hostile NPC's.
