Play Dark Souls PTD with PS3 Joystick.

This is a small tutorial on how to play the game using the ps3 controller.

You will need:

-Ps3 controller
-Controller cable (the one you use to charge the controller with, by connecting it via USB to your PS3)

1) Go here: http://www.motioninjoy.com/download

2) download the latest version (i reccomend 0.6.0005 for your system (32 or 64-b)

3)Install and launch the program

4) Open it and a green window should appear. Select DRIVER MANEGER and PLUG YOUR CONTROLLER

5) WAIT for the program to detect your controller. Once it does select it and click on LOAD DRIVER. Wait.

6) After it's done go to the PROFILES tab and select XBOX Controller emulation. Wait for the driver to install.

7) Press ENABLE and you are done.

8) Don't close the windows.

Everytime you want to use your controller just click on ENABLE.


THE BUTTONS DO THE SAME THINGS AS IN THE PS3. SO DONT WORRY ABOUT REMAPPING OR ****.

Could you please change "Joystick" to controller though, the only 'Joysticks' involved are the analogue sticks used to control motion and camera. Dunno about other people but it would make a lot more sense to me if you changed it to the right word, thanks

I've tried doing this. But i can't open the program without a window saying "DS3 tool is already running" popping up.

Edit. I can't close the window without closing it through the task manager.

Means it's already running. Check your system icon thingies incase it's one of those programs that starts up without opening anything.

Or make sure it's closed by using task manager before running it. Then run it?

I restarted my computer, it works so far.

So umm.. I did everything but when I push "Load driver" this error occurs. Aand it doesnt work:/ The vibrate thing works but cant get it to work in the game. Help pls!

Error code 2 means :The system cannot find the file specified.

Did you fully install the setup package?

And try to run DS3_TOOL as the admin.

I have installed if fully. Have tried running as admin too. I really wanna play this with a ps3 controller because the mouse controlling in this game sucks:/

What system are you running? Vista? Windows 7?

MAKE SURE you have downloaded the correct version: either 32 or 64 bit.

Windows 7 64bit and I downloaded the
32bit and 64bit all in one: site 1
Version 0.6.0005

from the website.

You actually download the 0.7 beta version.

The 0.6.0005 link it the one right below it. Select the 64 one and let me know.
