[spoiler] what are you guys doing to prepare for the patch?

i've been leveling up my claymore (things so versatile! i hope it gets some hyper armor.), getting used to farming and actually playing the game (in case they nerf bbg) and trying to find optimal weapons, armor and stats for sl 99..

what about you guys?

I've been changing a lot of my builds to be 95-100.
Also made Gough, Artorias, Ciaran, and Chester builds.

Trying time make the perfect sl99 str build.

Spend time making a couple of SL 99 builds before the BbG is...you know (Why I put many in forums as of late). Then prepare a "legit" toon to handle the DLC.

I have myself an SL1 with every weapon and armor +10/9 respectively. Trying to get enough slabs and various coloured chunks to finish a near perfect mule. I'm probably going to fill my 10 slots with clones, a couple bandits few pyros at least 1 cleric 1 wanderer so when it comes time to make 99 builds I don't have to immediately farm everything

I just made a few alterations to my main build so I can convert it to SL 99.
Patch fixes didn't really touch me in any way so it wasn't a major problem, practically just less HP now and everything else stays the same I'm really excited to start the REAL Dark Souls PvP experience, haha!

One thing I learned from my crossbows only build is that Sniper crossbow is not very viable in PvP

What I've been doing is not needing to adjust all my builds for the DWGR nerf since I fortunately started exclusively fastrolling a little over a month ago now. Thank god I did that. Crisis averted. Also been spending a lot of time farting around with Mugen to figure out how to convert all my favorite 125's to 99's for the different arena brackets. Watched some of the four-man free-for-all vids on YT today. Holy mother-effing sh*t, dudes. I'm NEVER leaving the arena once I get there...

Use my 7 million souls for something before I lose it all.

Why is everyone making SL 99 builds for the DLC?

It's cause of the SL bracket. I heard there was no 100-150 so I'm not really sure anymore.

Why would they make it like this if your average player tends to continue leveling beyond that? A lot of them probably won't be aware of it.

From what I understand, it's 1-49/50-99/100-149. I'm playing the 50-99 bracket because there will be more build variety since people will have to give more thought to how they're putting their builds together. SL149 is plenty of room to do whatever you want, and 1-49 is a little too low for my taste.

But I heard 100-149 didn't exist. I don't know anything anymore.

I'll probably try all three in that case xP

So by the time the DLC comes out does that make it best to level my current 120 pvp to 149?
And make a 49/99 as well? Or is there something I'm missing.

Some have said the brackets were 1-50/21-100/101-200

Yeah the build I've started today utilizes the no flip rings allowed method. Increasing the damage of pyromancies instead. Honestly, I don't find the flips preferable to fast rolls at all. Just cooler looking. If anything, fast rolls are better because they have more control. The real thing that caught my eye with the DWGR is the 50% equip load for fast speed.

Could you people share your Chester/Ciaran builds? I want to go with those, but I am afraid of reading lore or something as I look for the armor/weapons D:

Youve seen the armour sets and weapons right? My Ciaran thread is the PC gaming section has all of the Armour/Weapon stats on the second post. So as long as you ignore the first you will be fine.

Also avoid looking at the how to obtain sections unless you really want to know.

I only have to farm some demon titanite. And then ill make some bottomless box action, and fill 10 slots with my clones

Want a pure dex build, a dex pyro, obsidian gs and a gravelord sword build

And maybe a "little" 40/40 with 35/35 =P All for the 100 Arena

Im so glad the BB glitch is going.
