Let's just hope Santa remembers his whip which he uses to chase Krampus away, by wounding him.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Depends on the version. They can be but often they're just a parable on the idea of justice etc. Good people get rewarded and bad people get punished. Under those versions they're closer to allies with different roles

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Has anyone ever found anyone in any legend or any myth or any folklore... who made a deal with the devil and came off best? NO the devil is too cunning. the devil has many names according to some but in other tales there are 7 devils each standing for a particular sin (eg gluttony) one of the names i can remember is beelzibub. Read lord of the flies. If the devil can corrupt children into savages and canibuls and murderers he/they can corrupt you too.
If you beleve in that sort of thing of course which i personally don't.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Who said anything about coming off better? It'd just be more interesting than a normal life of
your born you learn you work you die
that and I always like to think I could do better than others

Kil'jaeden came out of his deal pretty well. Maybe not Archimonde.

Dear Satan,
I want to be immortal while being able to roam freely in the Universe or even beyond the Universe while conserving a young body which will never decay(meaning instant cell regeneration) nor die.
...
And a good lawyer just in case.

Bleh. far far too many loopholes. it gets to the point where you are specifiying what the other party may not do to you and that takes AAAAAAAGES.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Does anyone state in their deal that they need to be happy? Seems to me that would ward off many of the ill gotten side effects of dealing with the devil.

Hmph. then it just gets lovecraftian. with the being trapped in pleasure or something. or use it to completely drive you mad. something like that.
so much happy that you stop caring about the rest of your life.

Depends on the offer. If we find a good middle way I guess I would do it.

Re: Deal With The Devil...
Perhaps we could start with a nonbinding agreement with the devil to just try things out?
Maybe redundant, but would you make a deal with Donald Trump?

I'd sooner risk the devil. At least he presumably was an angel once

An angel who was jealous of humanity and has become the personification of evil...? Sure sounds trustworthy as hell

Depends, do you mean modern Christian Beliefs, or Biblical ones?
If modern, yes. If Biblical, no.
