by gnowhere85 Sat Feb 11, 2012 11:47 amhi DS forum. i'm at the great hollow and i can't get past the tree lizards/frogs without being cursed and then dying. i have the resist curse spell but the description says it only removes curses in exchange for humanity. i'm very low on humanity and was wondering what the best way through is? thanks.

Honestly there aren't many frogs there and you can probably kill them before they can curse you, and after killing simply allow the curse level to go down.

SL 65. problem is i'm now cursed so i cant do the last drop. should i get the curse removed and then try again?

yeah, go buy a purging stone from oswald and try again, at SL65 you should be able to get through okay.
though having humanity active ups your curse resistance so if you could get 10 or so would help a lot, you can farm it from rats in depths easily if you need some.

you could try some armor wich has high curse resistance like the crimson robe or the paladin set

Maiden's set has Curse Resistance I believe, as well the Favour set does too.

nope, just equip gold serpent ring and active humanity up to 10 increases drop rate, you can do a circuit of the first 9/10 rats after the bonfire in half a minute and the drop is quite generous, you'll get 1 per run (usually)
also if you want armour with very high curse resistance, equip the adventurer set, maiden set or others already mentioned, though pretty much any light armour will give some curse resistance.

There are ladders FYI, 2 that lead to the mid point of the tree, and another that leads to the mushroom area.

no oswald is the guy in bell tower, he sells purging stones and is easy to get to as well as them being cheap from him (only 3000 each)
