carry around a crossbow if you have burden to spare. Jumping attacks can also be used. If you have your own magic spam it. Firebombs are also useful.

If you cant avoid it just grin and bare it, or if you have high strengh grab havels shield and try to block, Allthough peopel can dead angle with WOG so its not guranteed

BS them while they cast TWoP, or run away.
You can also use jump attacks to stagger them.

Backstab while casting any of the miracles.
Spam attack to try to stagger them.
Use Crest SHield and block his atacks
Don't get caught in TWoP radius.
Equip high poise equipment, and a big heavy weapon (like an ultragreatsword) and spam R1 when they are about to cast.
Spam ranged spells.
Cast an AoE attack like Fire Tempest to keep them at distance
Run the moment you see they cast TWoP
You only need to resist 10 seconds, that's how much TWoP lasts.
Alternatively if your enemy casts TWoP and tries to attack you with melee attacks, and very good counter is to parry them.

If you're a caster just hit them with a SS or CSS.

There's no way to counter this, you're f*cked if you get caught on it and you're 2 handing your weapon. Best thing to do is just block with your shield and pray.

KICK KICK KICK. TwoP can have a ton of it's time stalled out if you can Kick-Anything. such as GC or certain weapons attacks. Even more kicks can stop the slower swinging weapons from hitting you. If it's TwoP -> wog wog wog then just 2h and mash away, hope you can break their poise.

Once I used TWoP on Painted Guardians, and they still rolled!! They had the yellow ring around them and they still rolled!! I'm guessing if you have very light equipment, < 25%, then you are immune to TWoP.
