    They go to backstab you but slip and fall on their own sword. Cue Patches " Why....Why.... What did I do wrong???"

    Ring of Refraction:

    Your character appears to others to be facing in the opposite direction that you are truly facing

    (would help confuse backstabbers since they think your front is your back)

    Spiraling ring of the fool:

    Makes any other player percieve you as facing directly away from them, no matter what

    Ring of distorted form:

    If you attack an enemy with an empty hand with this ring equipped, you become that enemy until the ring is unequipped. Can re-equip ring during an invasion to become the last enemy you copied.

    Ring of Deceptive Defense:

    If the wearer is struck by a backstab or riposte, they take only 30% of the intended damage and teleport behind the enemy which struck them. Effect can only occur once every minute.

    Desperate Measure

    "ring worn by Sir Cailon, one of the knights of Three,
    mortally wounded mid combat against the Hollow Dragon, overcome with rage & desperation, Cailon rushed forth sacrificing what remained of his life in a final attempt to save his Knight brothers"

    This would be worn as a phantom during online play when assisting another player, it would grant the wearer the ability to sacrifice themselves to aid/save their allies, when their hp falls below 50% when confronting an area boss

    this would create a charged attack(un-missable and un-blockable) that would equate to remaining hp (below 50%) x 3.5 as damage

    so if remaining hp was say 600 you would do 2100 damage

    if the area boss is defeated the player who sacrificed would get 10% of the total boss souls

    Ring of the Bound Soul

    "The flow of time in Lordran is distorted. Imbued with powerful magic, this ring resonates with the essence of its wearer, binding to their soul. Wearing the ring brings back memories of an earlier time."

    When equipped the first time, it stores your soul level. Wearing the ring after leveling up will return you to the stored soul level as long as you wear the ring, allowing you to be summoned and invade as a lower level character. Equipment and upgrades are unaffected. It is acquired late in the game, however (perhaps dropped by Gwyn, even), so binding a low soul level for trolling with high level equipment would require beating the game at a low soul level yourself, which is already possible without giving up a ring slot. Acquired once per playthrough, this would let otherwise high level characters store a couple copies of their build for PvP.

    Ring of Heroes

    Description:
    A ring rumored to have traversed time itself. Believed to have been forged from the mysterious pure bladestone of legend, granting its wearer superhuman capabilities. Once removed, the soul of its wearer is said to reside in the ring until another soul calls upon its power.

    The wearer of this ring recieves a 30% increase in any great weapon speed, and reduces the weight of heavy amour by 25%. Once removed the ring is not broken but, strips away 10 levels/10 hummanity(even from inventory) and curses the wearer until the souls and hummanity are regained.

    wow, you guys are suggesting some OP rings here., though i like the idea of a kamikaze attack that causes the boss to only shell out 1/10th of the souls it would normally. makes it a harder choice if you ask me.

    anyways, thor, that ring would never get taken off, so your side effects really don't matter, in all honestly. that **** is super OP, even worse than DWGR flippy havels. luckily it can't be used to get that back, but i think my point still stands

    the bound soul one sounds interesting, but is inspiring low level griefers, meaning attacking many helpless noobs, so whether its good or bad is up to interpretation.

    i think the "salumans" one is pretty sweet, especially for things like fire tempesst.

    the "ring of false hopes" is interesting. depending on the percentage of chance it could either be very well worth it, or totally worthless. i'd say 5% makes it worth enough to use, but not high enough to actually count on, making it high risk/high reward like you wanted, but any lower and it would be near worthless. also make it so you can obtain multiple, but can only carry 1 at a time(2 with the BB). if you make it so the way to obtain it is fairly difficult, it would make an interesting choice of ring.

    the ring of humanity is interesting, but a curse isn't all its cracked up to be, so perhaps another penalty would be in order. maybe lowering item find for other items, while equipped?

    the pinwheel rip-off is an interesting one, and would make for some interesting play. maybe have them also do the same attack animations, and always face your current lock-on target? this way its debate-able to a further extent which is real. imagine invading and seeing 4 different dues casting something like great fireball or something, all in your direction. pretty scary ****.


    TL;DR interesting rings, need some tweaks here and there


    anywho, heres mine

    Ring of the archer(TEMP name)

    "a mysterious ring that strengthens the wielders bow, allowing it to be used in melee combat without breaking any more than a sword would "

    basically, just gives bows a bit more flexibility in melee range. of course, the bow doesn't do much damage as a melee weapon(at least not as much as any other weapon at its upgrade level, besides maybe a dagger)

    Ring of Agile Aim

    " this ring empowers the wearer, enabling them to keep an arrow nocked during movement "

    basically, you can move and roll with an arrow nocked, but aren't able to fire during rolls. takes off a few milliseconds on the time it takes to fire an arrow. basically just makes bows more usable in some situations

    cant think of a mysterious name how about "Delboy's Hand"? lol!

    a ring that when worn gives 2 extra slots for rings?

    one would be taken up by the ring itself leaving 3 slot remaining for other rings.

    Effects:

    1) DWGR post nerf.

    2) Critical hit animations replaced by Hollow Theif critical hit animations.

    3) Non-great shields that shield bash will parry.
