Occult wont perma kill skellies, only divine does. Occults does more phys damage than divine, so its better against lightly armoured foes while divine is better vs heavily armoured foes as it does more magic damage. However unless you are hitting 50 fth +15 is better than both and you can buff it too.

What good are occult weapons anyways? To beat Gwyndolin, is that it? At least divine weapons had greater uses in the catacombs (and Nito) and they also worked against certain undead enemies for future playthroughts.

occult weapons do more damage against the gods servants. there is a full list somwhere but I know it oncludes things like the silver knights, black knights, dolin, gwyn etc.

Considering they're of the dark and the occult energy is also based off the dark I doubt it affects them.

Has it been confirmed or refuted that occult is nice for pvp? I swear my Priscilla 's dagger did more damage against players in pvp with heavy armor than hollow soldiers
