Host + Red phantom ganking

Soo I'v seen soooooo many host and red phantoms ganking in the township. Is this the new thing? I see it more than hosts and gold/white phantoms. Tonight I keep invading these 2 guy who seem like sl 600+. I Hit them in the face with a chaos fireball and it does practically no damage. Well it does 500 damage but they both have soooo much health it's pointless.

Why is this happening so much now? I saw it maybe once my whole time pvping in the kiln/burg pre dlc.

With the nerfs put into place by the patch, the gankers have been forced to adapt. This is their evolution. :!:

They def were not dueling each other. They are waiting at spawn just like normal gankers. On group even had the red twoping with the stone greatsword and the host running up and wog spamming.

Been ganked by red/host combo before, you can lure them into hitting each other then capitalizing on the situation. remember that if they chug estus it is only 2/3 as effective as with a host/white/gold combo.

what nerfs?

Some people summon red phantoms and try to gank coopers that the host summons. It has happened to me a lot while i was trying to coop some ~6 months ago. Maybe people still do that?
