I actually broke my first copy of FM3, the one I have now is because my grandmother at one point ran a video store and gave me a new copy plus VH2 on a birthday.

I perfer games before 2000 than most newer ones. I guess a big reason is that back then they truely seemed to care about their work, compared to things now like Skyrim or FF14, or even 11 now. RPGs at least seem to have really sunk in quality craftsmenship compared to the old days in my eyes. Heck I think the most that really happened back then was translation errors.

Also I'm on my phone so it's a bitch to catch up, but it seems like you guys are talking about SNES collections or something. I still have my original Chrono Trigger cartridge

PS1 games. I played Chrono on my DS though and I did play Cross as well, was a good series :O Tales games were quite fun also.

Never played Cross, no desire. Chroni Trigger was a masterpiece imo

I think... I rented either 3 or 4 and had quite a blast. Didn't get to finish it though. I'm trying to keep it PS1 era but the farther back I go the more I tend to like the game. FF2 (actually FF4 on SNES for example. I love you Cecil ; ; you will always be my rolemodel!

PS1 is crap compared to the era that was SNES

I know right? It's like the games industry is going backwards instead of forwards in their works. PS1 was still a great era and PS2/xbox was starting to hit the floor, after that the just started bombing left and right in my view.

For Suikoden 2? That would be beyond awesome, it deserves way more credit than it got, I just wish 3 didn't turn out like it did. I will personally slap the person that took Flik and Viktor out, that was extremely uncalled for. They are like the unoffical mascots of Suikoden!

PS2 and xbox was when everything started going into *** like shooters lots.. and ruin everything else fucking generation..

though rachet and clank got born outta that, which I loved back then lol

I agree with you on that. I kinda wonder if we are heading towards another bubble bursting and the industry reorganizing itself. I would love to see Square Enix fall apart, lose the current leadership and reform into something similar to it's SquareSoft days. Some of my most loved games came from SquareSoft :/

It took one year or so to my brother finish Final Fantansy XII, but he works at day and could only play at night, he gave it to me and I played for an entire week, and I'm only 10% of the game. Not sure how I will finish as I'm going to start school now :/

I would love to play 1-3 and 5. I don't know if I would like to play 7 or 8 since I practically know the story by heart from reading or hearing so many others talking about it. After 9 I consider the Final Fantasy series to be a failure and refuse to play any of them. I only touched 11 cause it was an MMO, and had a good run with it.

Plus when you skim read several pages of an article theorizing that the whole story past chapter 1 on FF8 is a dream while the guy is dying, in all seriousness he really argued with backup to show his points, was an amazing and well thought posting, you just lose the will to touch it

and yeah man, iv got a ridiculous collection of PS1 games, its crazy.

ps1 was the ***. so was ps2. all the metal gear solids are just about the best games released for them imo.
