My dear Sublime... have you noticed From Software is not a new company? The made Kings Field, Kings Field 2, Kings Field 3, etc... In the PS1 era, these games were quite difficult, and built in the same guise of exploration that Demon Souls and Dark Souls are made from. From Software will not crack and make an easy game, because they don't enjoy making an easy game. That is why they work at From.

I'm 100% with Rynn on this one.
I have no worries at all that they could even manage to f*ck this up, it seems like an impossibility to me.

My greatest fear is that they'll make another game without the Kilij. Everybody likes the Kilij. Please don't force my Dexterity build to use an Uchigatana again.

I fear they will cater to heavies more and forget about dex/light characters. I wanna see more cloth armor variations!!!!!

I fear being changed to casuals just because they outnumber us.

naaaaah, if they change it to casual i would just make a really hard challenge, by using super weak weps/armors,

but my biggest fear is if they make the armor/weapons look kind of dumb, I don't think they will, just an unfortunate possibility.

off topic: Wonder what special enemies they're gonna make now (like the red eye knights and the black knights,)

My biggest in game fear would be more changes in the online system. As cool as the arena is, it just isn't souls series, it's not the honourable duelling or trollish invading that got us hooked to the online in the first place, I worry they'll make it replace conventional pvp, which would suck so much

My biggest fear is them restricting the role-playing aspect even a tiny bit.

Though I doubt that it's much of a concern.

I had a dream a month or two ago where the next Souls game was out. My character was wandering around a place like Firelink, lost, not sure where to go. I found an NPC sitting there, went up to him, instead of seeing 'talk,' one of those question wheels came up. You know, something like:

1) Where am I?

2) Can you help me?

3) Tell me about this place.

I'm still surprised I didn't wake up screaming.

I would die sleeping and my parents would say: " At least he didn't suffer".

my biggest fear? fetch quests, escort missions and vehicle sections.

I think my fears aren't realistic.

First is that they screw up the combat system, trying to make it too spectacular. I'm not thinking about Bayonetta or DMC (both are great games btw), but just a little bit too much.

The second (and I think that would be the worst) : that I won't s*** my pants when entering a room I've never visited before. Because of a) a less-than-perfect level design b) putting the mobs in obvious places c) making the character too powerful / the mobs too weak (one or all of the above).

There's close to no chance that this happens. I know.
But when I think back of the first Mass Effect, what have they done ?

Thats actually my personal quote for Dark Souls. Because the difficulty is so freaking exaggerated by all the reviewers.

Greatest fear: Dark Souls Casual Edition.

But really If I want to enjoy casual rpg's, I will go and enjoy Skyrim. I don't disrespect Skyrim I like BOTH games but I want challenge, hard, dark, twisted, mysterious, unforgiving, game

in all seriousness, i am worried that they are rushing this game out too soon after Dark Souls, they just finished the DLC and up until just recently, Miyazaki (sp?) wasn't even sure they were going to make a sequel/prequel. i am afraid that this will be rushed and or much of the content will have to be cut for time constraints. which would be a bloody shame. i would much rather wait for a better game than get a game that was rushed out the door to cash in on Dark Souls success.

To be honest I'm not worried about it being rushed, I think the sales at over a million were definitely enough to grant it a sequel, I'd say that even before the DLC was announced work or the next game had already begun from we're starting work on the next one, trying to make it better than the last

I have to say that my greatest fear is actually rushing the game. It isn't a far-off possibility.
