The game isn't all that hard to grasp. It may be a bit difficult and WILL make people turn away who aren't willing to stay with it for a while to learn everything. I've been playing the game for a year now and it's really good. They have been slowly adding in new features and tweaking everything. They finally merged both DUST514 and EvE together so people can communicate and join the corporations. Yes the game is far from being finished but it will be great. Just because a game has meh visuals doesn't mean that it's a bad game.

It's all ingame. But every corp has their own set of rules so they might have a forum or not. (you can join a dust corp or an EvE corp)

Closed beta started around mid last year.
I could go into the closed beta as PSN+ member a few monthes later.

So I'll start a new character. I want him to be like a mix of assault, logistics and heavy. I love the engineer class in battlefield, I like blowing and reparing things. I don't like submachine guns, so I'll go with the rifle. Wanted the laser rifle but it does so low damage, and sucks at close range. I would like to fly something. Any suggestions????

Being an logistic is such a waste of time since almost no one can buy tanks and when they die they just prefer to respawn. I wish the respawn system could work like battlefield, stay dead for an amount of time in hopes of someone reviving you up.

I suggest you specialize on one thing first then branching out to other stuff since it will get extremely expensive in terms of skill points and ISK. The "starting classs" (arbiter, enforcer, etc) only determines your starting gear. Logistic dropsuits can equip any light weapon along with pistols (but only 1 weapon) and 2 equipment (repair, nanohive, spawn beacon). (each suit has a letter in the weapon slots, H for heavy, L for light, and S for sidearm).

Also, only buy militia equipment until you know what you want since militia gear has no skill requirements.

Just remember to read EVERYTHING very carefully.

Oh, I forgot to tell you that everything has a CPU and PG requirement that you have to pay attention to. Buying a high level weapon will mean nothing if you have to remove everything from your dropsuit just to equip the thing.

How do you earn more ISK per battle? Is it dependent on your skill points/level??? If I ever want to fly, I need lots of money lol.

It all depends on how well you do. I currently earn 200k-250k ISK per ambush battle. Flying isn't all that great, trust me (you're piloting a dropship). Also, vehicles are only meant to be requested at least once or twice per fight if you want to make a profit. I have a tank that I only use one time once I know that I can make a profit from the match.

And you want I resurrect people mostly in ambush as die-ing a lot makes your team lose.
In skirmish,it's really important too but most just insta respawn if you're not nearby.

But yeah,take it easy,use militia gear,don't be broke :p

I wqnt laser rifles so bad, they sound so badass. I guess I'll have to buy better versions of them because the low damage is annoying.

Thanks for that! I was shooting very close lol, my aiming skills are not great either so I miss a lot when they're far.

I think I found the perfect combo for me. What do you guys think about using laser rifle as primary and submachine gun as sidearm???? Is the scrambler pistol a better option for close quarter combat?
