Enchanted weapon vs. Crystal Magic Weapon spell?

I'm working on a high INT sorcerer build, and I'm wondering which is better: creating an enchanted weapon +5 or using Crystal Magic Weapon on a standard upgraded weapon? I know the enchanted weapon will be more difficult, what with blue titanite being pretty rare, but is it worth it?

Enchanted weapons are always good for high INT. But why Great Magic Weapon and not Crystal Magic Weapon?

With high INT and the TCC a +15 weapon buffed with CMW will still put a world of hurt on things even with low DEX/STR.

Crap, I mean Crystal Magic Weapon, sorry. So are you saying CMW wins? Doesn't it only have one use though?

And I'm not saying CMW "wins." I'm saying, why not try both.

Enchanted is stronger then a +15, however even with normal Magic Weapon, the +15 weapon will beat the enchanted once you buff up. So Enchanted is better for constant damage, while Magic Weapon is good for 1 minute of fame.

If you can't consistently land hits on a moving opponent then I'd suggest Enchated, some people will just dodge you until the buff run's out. And others won't let you buff at all so you'd be left with a weaker weapon.

This is what I would recommend also. You're provided enough guaranteed blue and standard titanite to make both. Why not give each a try and decide which you like better? It also gives you the opportunity to just carry both. You can always +15 a weapon and buff it, then switch out to your enchanted when your buff wears off. It's a lot more effective then trying to rebuff in the middle of a fight, if that's what happens.

In my experience it's pretty damn easy to farm from the gollem in the dukes archives though.

enchanted weapons do not hit more most of the time, i tried this out with a character with 50 faith occult and the damage inflicted to higher defensive enemies is always lower than a +15 weapon and properly scaled stats. if you don't plan on upgrading your strength or dex, then you should probably stick too +15
