What do you guys think if DkS 2 has a save option? This could nerf difficulty in a huge way. Fog, ah let me save just in case. LOL

Giving the option to load a save point would remove the risk of loosing your souls, the trial and error of each level and take away your need to be mindful and cautious of the consequences if you wish to kill certain NPC's. It's amazing that a simple adjustment to a save function would destroy a lot of Dark Souls selling point, even the ability to pause in game would take away the sense of accomplishment due to changing armour in battles for better defense, healing without the risk of dieing and it would remove the multi-player component due to the pause effect on online players.

Well I'm sure this won't be too much of an issue, sure it'll mean loss of souls stops, but I'd still make it so that you'd go back to bonfire/checkpoint you were last at... No more homeward bones?

I doubt this will happen, the whole bloodstain mechanic would be undermined.. Though you could quickly quit/load on pre 1.05 if you remember to avoid loss of souls silly

like putting a Mini engine in a Ferrari, a tragic waste of something beautiful.

The autosave feature is needed for the gameplay, I hope that the new director won't change that
