Its tricky, I'm having trouble getting the poise I want while keeping a fast roll and good damage potential.

My problem is that claymore will only hit for about 300 (unless the're using the dusk crown) and doesn't stunlock. I could make up for it with wog, but that wog will only rack up about 450 (again, unless they're wearing the dusk crown) so I'll need 3-4 of my 6 wogs to hit or 5-6 claymore hits to kill most builds. Even with replenish healing 600 hp (effectively giving me 2400 hp) a leo ringed spear or plain greatclub will kill me in 3-4 hits, meaning they have a higher and permanent damage/hp ratio, where mine drops by between 20% and 50% if I can't wog, and its tilted further if I don't have replenish active, for whatever reason.

Thoughts? Not just Murkrow, any thoughts are welcome.

Btw, dps is included in my damage/hp ratio, the katana builds all surpass the damage/hp ratio of the build as well. Pure casters do to, but gmb/vos will neutralise their damage output abilities, for a time. Might replace something with flash sweat to shut down pyro's as well.

@dutchy, interesting, the bleed would help offset the low damage and it applies through shields and iframes, its also lower weight. By the same token a flamberg would work well, if the moveset is agreeable (the r2's are decidedly iffy, will need to try it out before committing.)

Morning star would also allow you to ditch those two points in STR and put it towards Endurance perhaps? Maxing out your stamin and making it so a Pyro flame is off hand? Just a thought.

Whats the poise breakpoint for greatsword running r1's?

Think I'm done then. The great scythe has good damage, great (lol) range and it stunlocks and dead angles.

Bah, I like my dragon weapons, they look stylish imo.

PW would still put your damage buff at 73% with the roar, 90% with the rtsr and 123% with all 3.

Tell me what poise and/or roll speed and/or weapons you want and what Sl you want and I'll build you something.

Solid basic builds are pretty easy to throw together. It only gets tricky when the build gets highly specialised.

Whats the point in being both awesome and part of a group if I'm not making the group more awesome? I can't physically teach techniques due to crappy circumstances, but I can optimise builds, give step by step instructions and refer relevant videos.

The webs been cooperating for a few days now. Even managed some pvp yesterday. 6 duels and 13 invasions. Lost 1 duel and 6 of the invasions, midrolling is not ideal for dispatching groups of casters.

Well I want to keep that SL 60 build there as my regular toon for now.



Later on, i'd like to make another character at SL100 with some good poise and a fast roll. He will be a pyro DW, similar to my SL60 build. Any weapon is fine to use, though I dislike the rapiers. I'd just like a PvP pyro DW that can fast roll with decent poise and have a versatile weapon set.

The reason for the iaito is that its heavy, so it can effectively be replaced with most any dex weapon you want without putting you at a midroll.


If the cov doesn't transfer, I vote we are "The League of Awesome" and simply claim a random high sl spot as ours. If people don't like it, we kill them, if they don't care, we kill them anyways, and if they do like it, we STILL kill them. Everyone wins, but really just us.

I think it won't be able to transfer Unless the Queen makes an appearance in Drks2
