Re: Armor: Gender
Why would girls wear a different set of armor than men?

Re: Armor: Gender
Just as armor is made to fit the male form and so would be a poor fit for most women, its reasonable to assume armor would be made to fit the female form (in a midevil esque world where females are allowed to do battle) and thus a poor fit for men.
This is especially true for higher quality armor, which is fitted to the specific individual to whom it belongs.

Re: Armor: Gender
Except that real armor for women wasn't that different from mens. Armor was armor. Dark is pretty accurate about most of it's armor sets.
I really hope gender stays purely aesthetical. (or perhaps an altered word here or there in npc's speech)

Re: Armor: Gender
I don't want it very different, just a bit. Like the difference with small to fat players.Acarnatia wrote:Except that real armor for women wasn't that different from mens. Armor was armor. Dark is pretty accurate about most of it's armor sets.

The gender specific sets would be the special sets like orinstines or the antiqued dress, made specifically for the individual, thus unsuitable for the opposite gender due to larger difference in body type.

Re: Armor: Gender
They also would have roughly the same effectiveness (proportionaly for different classes, if they're suited for different roles. good tank female armor and middle weight armor for more agile spear turtling dudes.)

Re: Armor: Gender
That's my solution to everything in this game.
Dead angles? They're just skilled enough to get around their opponent's guard.
Parries? The way they push their shield to the side is the perfect form to carry their opponent's attack to the side and to knock them off balance.
Backstabs? You were open, bro.
Ravioli stepping? They're just light on their feet.

Thats not what I was going for. Just some more detail. Not even a lot more detail in most cases, the armor is already very detailed.

Skyrim is full of that. Though Tiny I think From already went too far in detail with how our naked toons look.
