Straight Swords and The Grant

which straight sword is about the best and most versital? i'm liking the silver knight sword on my lvl 40 but he only has 25 str/dex and i'm not sure that's good enough for an avaluation.

also, does anyone use the grant? my high lvl now has 50 str and i just upgraded it +5 it seems to put out some decent damage...

Thanks to the recent encouragement I got, I've been starting to use Grant. I have 50 strength and 50 faith, and it rips everything apart. Upgraded to +5,t his weapon is a beast.

yeah on my character stats it says 700 with one-handing it but i only have like 35 faith lol

I use it too on one of my builds.
The R2 special attack is pretty useful, just make sure to carry plenty of repair power. It definitely has some great damage output when you faith is up.

Grant has low AR for its high requirements and weight. At 50/40 it has around 700 AR, but it's split between physical and magical. With 46 Str I can have a crystal DGA with 700 AR of pure physical damage + a buff if 30 Faith. Grant should have like 800 AR to be able to out damage most Str weapons. Still I love that hammer it's one of my favorites.

I think my favorite is the Great Club.
That thing at +15 with Sunlight blade on it
I get over 1,000 in damage from it.
