Easy if we go from item descriptions.
Onion guy's armor parries thrusting attacks well meaning Ricard is kinda screwed.
Also, when he's awake and active he's pretty decently tough. Ricard can be aggressive and fast but I think his inability to adequately damage Siegmeyer means the Onion prevails!

I vote for Siegmayer.
You can be the biggest hardass in all of Lordran, but cutting onions makes everybody cry. Kudos to the guy who has onion armor.

Obviously the allmighty Onion Knight. The Catarina set has high trust attack defenses and Siegmeyer could just use his emmit force to get enough time to smash the zweihander in that pricks face.

Ricard.
Even if Siegmeyer's armor got high Thrusting attack def. He's slow. Ricard is more mobile AND He can parry (HE HAS PARRY SKILLS.). He got a bow so if he gains distance, Siegmeyer is gonna have problems.
Siegmeyer may got Force, but due this Arsenal, he's too slow. His Shield can't parry, meaning He has to either Block everything (Good Idea...) or Dodge. (Sorta Hard in that Armor. If we're realistic).
-Ricard can both Parry and Block. If we say that Ricard got 40 Endurance, he could block two hits and MAYBE Parry the third. (15+ Buckler)
Ricard can Poke, Shoot Arrows and Parry.
Siegmeyer can pancake, Bleed and Be Onion Bro.
Ricard's Poison is Stairs.
Siegmeyer's Poison is people who is not Fighting on Stairs.

I'm going to go for Siegmeyer too. With just a medium roll I don't think ricard could dodge all of Siegmeyer's Emit Forces. Plus his shield is weak so he would have to rely on parrying or dodging since a lot of damage bleeds through. On the other hand Siegmeyer's shield is decent for blocking so Ricards arrows won't be a problem.
