I have weapon at risk status cos my crystal halberd is broken. I tried the bonfire with the repair box and the blacksmith but the crystal halberd just won't show on the screen.

Crystals can't be repaired, it's what balances the higher AR.

As Wyrm said, they can't be repaired at all (even repair sorcery won't do it)... makes me wonder if From intended them to be used solely for backstabs.

That's the point of crystal weapons.
HOWEVER, i'm fairly certain that upgrading it will repair it.
So if it's not at +5 yet, upgrade it to restore the durability!

Crystal Weapons are a special kind of upgrade path that increases a weapon's AR (AR is the equivalent of the Attack Parameter) by 10% of standard. That is to say, a crystal weapon has the highest single attack power in the whole game and the difference between it and every other AR in every single element upgrade is at least 10%.
I won't go into details, as you don't need to know them. All I need to clarify is that upgrade paths focused on a single AR damage type (Normal for example; as opposed to Lightning which divides its AR in 2) deal the highest amounts of damage in the game. The Crystal weapon path has a 10% increase in AR making that stuff the cream-of-the-crop.
It is, however, balanced by the fact this type of weapon is temporary and has both a decreased durability and it is incapable of being repaired. There is, however, one way to restore its durability, which is to upgrade it. Upgrading it will restore its durability and make it stronger in the process. In the case that you already have it at +5, then I am sorry to say that weapon is useless as of now and you might as well drop it.
While on the topic of Crystal weapons, I will give some advice on them. Never upgrade a weapon to crystal unless you have a copy of it. Certain weapons can only be found once and it would be extremely unfortunate if you turned them crystal. Also, it is important you find the East Wood Grain Ring for your crystal weapons. For the sake of no spoilers, I will not inform you what it does or where it is; I will hint it can only be found via a merchant and that said merchant should already be accessible to you. If you do not care about spoilers you may check our wiki under the "Rings" section for a detailed "guide" on how to get it. On the other hand, if you already have it...then, there is not point in those last sentences, is there?
Lastly, a recommended strategy by many veterans is to only upgrade a weapon to crystal up to +4, so you can upgrade to +5 when the durability ends. There is also an unspoken rule to only use these types of weapon in times of dire need, such as bosses or mini-bosses as you'll most likely only need to use them that once and not every time you go through the area, in order to preserve the durability.
This has been Seignar, with a detailed explanation of Crystal Weapons.

Hang on though... theoretically, could you not revert it back to the regular halberd +5 and then upgrade it again?
I never use crystal stuff, am too attached to silly boss weapons, so never tried this.

As far as I recall, you can't revert from this upgrade path, but I never even look at Crystal Weapons so I don't know.

You can from normal Crystal Halberds (without +'s) - I've done it before to get me a second regular halberd after I divinified my first. I'll have to see if this is true or I've just gone mad though...

Micky, as others said you can't repair Crystal weapons, like your Crystal Halberd (I bet you found it in Anor Londo!), BUT if you upgrade a Crystal weapon it's durability will be restored, so as long as you don't have it +5, you can upgrade it to repair.
Once you got it broken and at +5, you're screwed, keep in mind there is a ring that slows down the natural damage weapons take when used, it's called East Wood Grain Ring, and it can be bought from Shiva of the East.
Check this page for more info on the ring:

Can't revert them either.
@Seignar I didn't know it was a 10% increase in AR. My list of crystal weapons gives randomly AR differences, but they get higher with higher AR. It's on the PvP section check it out before it gets buried lol.

You could go the the Trade section of this forum ask someone to give to you, no worries, it's a ring people most of the time don't use at all and there will be several people willing to gift it to you.
