Zephryl got it but for not quite the right reasons.

Roll: to jump or rob someone,
He pushes you (in a metaphorical sense) down to roll you,

Bray: sound like a donkey, often used to describe laughter. Patches is a nod to Patches the Hyena, known for their laughter.

Lads and lasses: robs from both

and yes, taking it to the masses to make them pay is a reference to merchants.

umm... dunno about anyone else, but i've never ever heard the term 'roll' used for robbing, more likely for drugs :| oh and bray too, that one confused me

Serious, I was worried about that a little. Unfortunately most riddles require some creative language so my use of slang means that it could actually be unfair to some readers.

I thought I had the answer for sure. I mean I understand the logic, but what if you have an answer that makes more sense? Can you replace the answer and thereby overtake the riddling rights?

In the Firelink Shrine, a player-character lies dead. He was killed by a player-character who used neither poison nor toxin, and did not use hacks to enable the invasion of Firelink Shrine. How is this possible?

He killed himself by falling from the crows nest?

I was going for Power Within, but yeah the gist is he killed himself.

A player is upgrading his equipment. He has twenty-six titanite chunks, two slabs, eighty-seven shards and ninety-two large shards. He upgrades his Greatsword to lightning +5. He then decides that was a bad choice, and instead upgrades it to Crystal +5. He also upgrades his Gargoyle Helmet to +9. He continues playing for a while, and while going through New Londo, gets a slab and two more chunks of titanite. He upgrades his Gargoyle Helmet to +10. He also wants to upgrade his Antiquated Skirt, but after all the upgrading he's done, doesn't have all the materials necessary to max it out. He asks a friend for the materials he needs to upgrade his skirt. What type and quantity of titanite does he ask his friend for?

Twinkling titanite. Though no idea how he got his Gargoyle Helm past +5, since it's another TT upgrade
