You know...technically speaking if you look at the first page i should be doing the riddle...but ima let this one slide since i am the master of riddles

My second guess issssss.......lava?

Is the riddle referring to something specific or a process???

I was aiming it towards something specific, but I suppose there's technically a process that I'll accept as the answer as well~

XD I'm gonna hazard a guess of retrieving your souls after death and then dieing again along the way or something along those lines.

So I've been thinking that it might be item durability and fixing a weapon. Since the East Wood Grain Ring slows the "loss"of weapon durability. It can be a frightful shock when our weapon breaks on us too. The process of gathering souls to fix some weapons can take quite some time to do, depending on the weapon. As Andre has said before we need to take care of the weapons that we use, lest the durability drops down to where the weapon is useless.

Health!

It sucks to first lose it.
A ring can help stop loss, by buffing or generally assisting the player.
The trial is STAYING ALIVE!
And if you're not careful you could lose more.


The same can also apply to Stamina. Sigh.

Getting poisoned.

"A frightful shock, that sudden loss"
the second you hear that hissss.

"The process started, a ring could stop."
equip the poisenbite ring quick!

"A fearsome trial, though not a boss"
it takes to damn long to run out

"Take care you must, lest more you drop."
eat some moss or more health you will lose.

What about Bleed?
It's sudden and a horrible shock when you get it. A ring can help prevent it and if your not careful you could lose a lot more health from it.
