How can I play dark souls online with PC?

When I start the dark souls game a message says " You can not use online play because you are not connected to Games for Windows-LIVE"
I have an account in xboxe site
What should I do to play online?

It's easy and, as I recall, free, so just sign your computer of for windows live.

To my knowledge, yes. Just start dark souls on your PC, and it'll ask you to sign in or sign up. Fairly straightforward from there on out.

That's odd. If it's PC, hit the home button, or go to your menu and find out what you have to hit for that option. Use that, and you can click "go into online mode" and you should be able to proceed creating an ID from there.

You are pretty much forced to create an Account for GFWL if you bought the retail version (Non-Steam) .
You can play without having an account but your Progress wont be saved .

If all else fails try to reinstall the Game .

You are asked when you deinstall the Game if you want to keep your saves or not .
But i dont know where they're located though

if you downloaded the game from a torrent site then you won't be able to sign into windows live. I purchase my version from the xbox website. I installed it and it asked me to put in my xbox live email and password and it did the rest. I was able to play online just like on the xbox. Your xbox live and windows live account should be the same. It will download all your achievements and your gamerscore. You can see what friends are on xbox live and what they're playing too.

The saves are usually in my documemts.you can access it by


my documemts>nbgi>darksouls>(your gfwl id)

The save files are something like drak005.sls (not sure of tje exact words)

the saves are attached to a single gfwl account
