on the PC version, on Steam, the new update seems to have messed up something in the in-game verlay, so disabling it fixes frame rate drop. I tried it with Just Cause 2 and it fixed the issues (that game had it the worst.). Hope this helps out anyone who was having troubles.

That stupid big picture mode thing? Well i see from the next post it didn't fix it, but that things bloody annoying.

I actually like the big picture thing. It goes to full screen, and I can use my controller to go to Dark Souls and start it up

No, it's not the big picture mode. It's something they did on the feb 7th update. theres a bunch of threads about steam causing framrate drops
