Nope. You satisfied my need for venting. We're cool again until something else happens.Soris Ice Goldwing wrote:It not your skill I'm afraid of. Are you still mad about that "conversation"?

Depends on if I have anything to do this weekend. Ask me when I make a thread about how well I'm doing I guessSoris Ice Goldwing wrote:Okay that's good. Then if you don't mind how about a fight?

Re: The ultimate test of skill
Never said it has to be with this build of yours. Just wanted a hard challenge, and I'm pretty sure a 100 can be summoned, or invaded by a 87, so if want some of the items ask. I don't need most of them.

Just seems... odd that the ultimate test of skill is with an Uchi.

Are you saying that the Uchi isn't the most basic form of the katana weapon class?

Re: The ultimate test of skill
No, that's not what I'm saying. Uchi is indeed the most basic form of Katana, as the Greatbow is the most basic form of Greatbow. But neither are basic. That giant dragon slayer bow will never be basic.

Re: The ultimate test of skill
That's why I said most basic. The point of this build is to win against people while using the most basic form of their weapon class. So if I ever run into someone using a greatbow, I'll take out one as well.IV_Mark_VI wrote:No, that's not what I'm saying. Ah. That you were mimicking other people's weapons wasn't said in the opening post.

Yea. at first the idea was "I'll prove my adequacy at every weapon in the game" then it turned into "I'll prove that I'm not only adequate, but superior to everyone else with every weapon in the game by beating them at their expertise"IV_Mark_VI wrote:Ah. F*** their s*** up mercilessly like I normally do.IV_Mark_VI wrote:What'll you do vs mages?
For them I'll just get a weapon/armor combination that does really well against them. So maybe light-roll and a stunlocking weapon.

I'll say I'm better than average. I predict winning about...70-80% of my fights even with the obvious disadvantages.Rynn wrote:i take it you fancy yourself as being very good then?

Re: The ultimate test of skill
I see what you did there -_-
Rapier, Hand Axe, Halberd, Light Crossbow, Short Bow, just to name a few.
It might prove your point more if you just did the "starting class" type of chalenge.
But thats not really the point?...now is it? You wanna prove you're a great player with good to great weapons then
You are clearly putting yourself at a disdvantage, even though it is not as big of a disadvantage as it may seem...with one HUGE exception...
Wizards will wreck you man...its gonna be ugly.
Don't do this to yourself. You already hate the wizards hehehe. Have mercy on your soul and use the Crest Shield...your sanity begs of you... :Baal02:
PS-Why not use the mail breaker, black knight greatsword, or the long bow?

Re: The ultimate test of skill
AS long as they're not travelling in packs, I can handle wizards. You just gotta be patient and lame it out until they run out of spells and break their moonlight greatsword.
I'm not doing a "starting class" challenge because that would require a lot more menu swapping from me. I don't even know if I'll be able to to swap between 3 armor sets and about 15 weapons let alone about 10 armor sets and 20 weapons.
And the mail breaker, black knight great sword and long bow don't seem as basic as rapier, great sword, and short bow.

So what is your build?
40 dex, 40 strength, 40 end, and 45 vit?

http://mmdks.com/1f4w
36 vit
34 end
34 dex
34 str
Not only would having the 40s make me go way above SL 100, but I wouldn't be at that big a disadvantage(if any) anymore

Still, longsword is just the one that is completely basic. It's the base weapon of DkS imo.
I would also suggest trying a playthrough with each of the weapons one at a time. Make yourself completely familiar with them. Then you'll reach a pretty high NG+ as well
