Ganking with the enemy.....

Has anybody else noticed that people constantly gank in the forest with other dark spirits? I recently tried invading in the forest and multiple times I ran into a noob with 2 red phantoms working together. Is there a reason for working with someone that could easily attack you as much as help you? I would think a white phantom would be much better for ganking, but I dont do it so I wouldn't know...

What do you guys think about this? What is the reason for it?

I'd be a bit confused to see two red phantoms running right at me.
Sort of like, they make it look like they're hosting a match and then when someone invades they all turn and gank you. I've seen this happen in the Burg before but they ganked white phantoms instead.

Red Phantoms give souls if you kill them, and the red phantoms gets souls if you slay the host. By ganking with the enemy, they make a situation they can not lose.

It cuts down on people that can invade the host, its always going to be 3v1. if they had 2 whites, they may have to face 3v2! Omg that's to hard, run away.

Actually if they have two whites, it's still always 3 v 1. 3 phantom limit per world.

Hmmm I constantly see 3v2 in the forest! Maybe just because it's so glitchy there?

Also, particularly in the forest the reds have a MAJOR advantage that the whites and golds don't.

Mobs can't hurt them. So basically, I often will turn tail and enlist some Skarekrow Tree Descendant help (what most people call Ents, but aren't Ents). The reds can chase me into the forest and not have my Tree brothers as a factor. I can't rely on the Rolly Cats to help me fight a red. I can't laugh at a Mushroom punching them in the face.

Now, this isn't a major problem for me and I still head to my ally's side. I will always fight a 1v1 fairly so me and the red can duke it out. But by going into the trees, I have backup in case the host or a white or gold buddy want in.
