And since Dark Souls is a game that just loves to make you fail at everything, how about we discuss this? Which part in Dark Souls, be it a Boss fight or something, you did perfectly the first time by failed dismally the next?
My main one in Dark Souls was the fight with Manus of the Abyss. I killed him in my first go- didn't die, didn't summon puppy Sif (though he was an *** to find >:I ) didn't even know what was lurking behind that fog until he trotted out- I just kicked the crap outta that monkey and boy was it awesome.
The next time I tried fighting him I died over and over. I was not amused. I died by him stomping me, I died by him hurling those creepy humanity things at me. I died from dying. I rage-quit a lot in that day.
Another notable mention would be killing the titanite Demon just past Andre on my first go and finding that hide-hole in Darkroot Forest- you know, where that living tree is blocking the entrance? In all my other playthroughs I just can't find it. Found it by accident on my first but never since.
Oh and trying to reach the underside of the Bridge where Domhnall is. WHY IS HE IN SUCH AN AWKWARD PLACE, I FALL AND DIE ALL THE TIME. But not the first time, gorramit.
How about you guys? Done some impressive things on your first go at Dark Souls, only to try again and discover you suck at it suddenly?
