Yeah, I only bought the game because it was REALLY cheap at game store, I think I got it for the equivalent of less than 25 dollars or so.
I would have loved to use the DWGR at 50% weight limit (I like heavy weapons); but the masks and elemental weapons sound horrible.

I know it is probably for the better, though I do find the idea of a flipping havel quite amusing. Perhaps as joke build? Vit/End Gouge I guess.
Edit: Need Havel's and 99 Endurance to get the flip in full havel's; but I only have 2.1 units left...

One recent discovery of mine: The stabby statues in the Catacombs all have a Mother's mask painted on them. The non-stabby statues all have a Father's mask painted on them.
This discovery is actually already a couple of weeks old. When you are blocking and standing still, turning around 180 degrees makes your character freeze in place. Very annoying and has gotten me killed once. This might be some kind of recent bug though, because you'd think I'd have noticed this sooner...

I've only noticed the turning thing since Patch 1.0.8, although I've have it happen a few times before that, it seems more common now.
On that note, I'm wanting to test whether toggling your weapons resets your poise value. Can someone confirm this?

Tested it on a silver knight. I had enough poise for him to need 3 hits in a row to stagger me. Then I toggled after 2 hits, left the toggle animation right before the third hit, and still got staggered.
Here's a new theory for ya: Your poise resets when it gets broken, even if the breaking of your poise didn't stagger you. So you can reset it by toggle escaping, but not by toggling alone.

Most people get overconfident when they see the fat roll.
Although I am using a Hornet Ring, I'm not BS fishing.
I am packing Heal though, for moments where it might be useful.
One guy shut a door on me, let me heal twice, and then hid outside the door with Pyros.
I can assure you, I'm not playing super skillfully, people are just playing like idiots.
I've had a guy run straight into the room with the Royal Sentinels only to get massacred by me and the Sentinels.

Invade Dark Anor Londo, see Sunbro off in the distance, start fighting Sunbro, he constantly tries to fish me, while I'm focusing on him Host rushes in and stunlocks me with Reinforced Club.
And then there was the guy flipping in full Havel's with a Dragonslayer Greatbow, and a katana with the GCS, in the level 60 range, but when a build is most likely save-edited I generally don't count that as a loss.

The freaky fire-breathing bugs in Blighttown have a fart-attack. They normally don't survive long enough for me to get behind them, so they never used it until now, as SL10 in NG+++ with a fire Estoc.

You can press square (PS3) while leveling up to toggle to your weapon screen and see how the weapons are affected by your leveling.

Not so recent, but if you're wielding a weapon you can't use properly, when you roll into someone with thorn armor on you'll bounce off as if you'd attacked them.
