Of course, Shields are catagorized as weapons in Dark Souls, so follow the restrictions for your class.

To be fair wilks you don't specify anything about shields in the classes.

Hi!  I am considering applying for membership.  I have been known to praise the sun from time to time.  In fact, I currently have 5 coop characters with 99 legit medals each and 99 humanity from boss kills, and have deleted probably a dozen others over the years.  If I were to apply and be accepted, should I make a brand new sunbro character and start from scratch?  I think that might be the most fun and perhaps even enable me to coop with higher ranked members as I go and show them what I can do (such as falling off stuff for no reason).   Could have fun sidequests, sunlight altar picnics, etc.  What do you think?

If you take a look at the classes here, you'll see that themed builds are used for the whole 'coalition' concept in 5 factions: Sunohbi (samurai and ninjas), Knights (tanks and regular sword shield guys), Archers, Clergy (casters, support and cleric knights) and scholars (sorcery users).

I think making a new build will probably be the most fun. Honestly I made an SL55 faith caster- with 14 vit it's kinda hard but it's stilll fun as hell blowing everything out the water with lightning spears and exploding energy orbs.

However, you don't need to make a new build if you don't want to, but usage of covenant armour and weapons etc is advised.

I already have a couple of sl55s I use for Anor Londo coop that would fit well, but I was thinking of starting a new cleric character (as in both the player class, and Faction).  Themely and I've been trying to think of a way to force myself to git gud with the morning star, maybe the crescent axe.  My personal experience has been that looking good and praising the sun far outweigh combat effectiveness anyway.

In regards to the class system, it's pretty straight forward, if an existing builds meets the requirements then we will add you on the roster as that class. (You can use other classes of course, this just represents what faction you are in, and what your main character is).

In regards to the picnics, Yes.

Welcome to the Coalition! You gotta tell me what class/faction you want though, just pick whatever interests you the most or something random for all that matters

And PvP is more of a good skill to have to protect a host, but we mainly focus on PvE.

I can train you in the basics, or in advanced PvP if you wish, I am available at a decent amount of Soul Levels.

My main PvP account on PS3 is Gravelord_Wilks or Darkwraith_Wilks but I prefer you just message me here if you're interested.
