Xbox One, oh God my sides.

Am i the only one happy about the Xbox One being what it is?

Less competition for PS4.

I'm happy as well but more because between the main three, each console will stand out differently from each other. One thing that annoyed me in the 7th generation is that both 360 and PS3 were really doing the same games and that doesn't help matters when most games have been pretty much all the same with no end of reboots and sequels (I actually counted the number of new IP's vs sequels in 2012 (or was it 2011) and found out that out of 108 games (around that can't remember exact amount), there were around 70 sequels). I hope the divide remains consistent throughout this upcoming generation so games/media that cater to you more get focused on that system.

Xbox One is still a piece of crap though due to this DRM BS. I honestly can't understand why some consumers accept this level of extreme buggery from Microsoft.

I don't know much about HW, but I know one thing. If one console has superior HW, most of it's games will look worse than the games made specificaly for the said console, because multiplatform games are always made for the weaker console. The reason being high costs to make two different versions of the game. Just like we have it now with PS3 and Xbox 360. Fanboyism aside, there are PS3 games that looked better than anything on Xbox.
When Microsponge stated that they don't intend to aim for the high end graphics, all it means is that if PS4 does, it's potential will be wasted. If this situation arises the difference between HW may lead to severe problems and even possible end for one of the consoles. Unles some miracle, like Halo happens, which is highly unlikely.
The clever heads in both companies won't allow that to happen though.

Hard to say. Best wait for E3. If that won't help, then it's best to wait for the actual release.

Well it was decided for me I'm only getting PS4 or nothing next gen (actually likely the latter), but we'll see if the PS4 cant tempt me with some gems

I'll admit it. If I had the money I'd get all three. I don't and I have a vita and love Sony. Microsoft could still show us nice things but my mind mind is pretty much set

Maybe the Xbox1 will do so horrible at launch that they'll kick it into high gear and make some amazing things a couple years later...or a bunch of twelve year-olds and stereotypical Americans will buy it and fuel the machine. Either way I'm probably going Nintendo for a while (Highly recommend 3DS and Wii U is getting a nice line up as well). Of course, the fact that DkSII is this gen is having a slight influence on that decision.

To be honest I think it'll be cheaper, and mums/dads will end up buying it for their 10-16 year old kids which will allow MS to not view it as a total failure.

Anyone with any sense and money will buy the PS4.

To be honest this new gen I could see creating a console age range divide

I don't understand the hate for the Wii U/Nintendo. They more valid flaws I hear about them come from their fans. Everyone else says the same "Wahhh graphics, waaahhh games, waaahhhh for little kids" I see more 6-12 year olds on xbox/ps3 playing cod then I do on Wii/Wii U/3DS. I mean I guess it just takes balls for people to say they like Nintendo and aren't afraid to admit it. It's too easy to hide behind popular opinion. Anyways I'll conclude this rant with a question

wasn't bayonetta(?) on every console? I like Nintendo but damn they gotta come up with some new ips. all they have is Mario, Zelda and the last Zelda was kinda meh. they do have some very underrated games which don't get as much attention *** the lame *** 'big'g titles.

Bayonetta 2 wasn't even going to happen until Nintendo asked for it and funded it. It's very existence is only due to Nintendo.

Also Nintendo wants to bring the Hardcore gamer back to their console and that's one of the reasons for Bayonetta. Nintendo have been branded a kids console company which Nintendo want to change but sadly they're just rubbish at it especially with what's on the Wii. Once this new generation of consoles get into full swing, the game library will show what demographics Nintendo are aiming for now.

And hopefully they don't decide to Other M Zelda, Mario, or Star Fox.....

I welcome that Nintendo is trying to bring "hardcore" players back to their console, but it ain't gonna happen as long as they're gonna use bs controllers and movement sensors.
