I found if you have amazing aim and perfect timing you can keep someone stunlocked by headshots long enough to kill them either from poison or too many arrows in the face big grin

Very nice work Cloud, I'll have to do some Composite bow testing, I assume you did it with that one for the faster firing?

Very nice Tehinfamous, I actually haven't heard of anyone else using a Partizan before in PvP. Definite style points for that one. And yes this increase in 4v1 Red Phantom helpers is a bit worrying, but always there are tactics to deal with them. Again very nice work, and hopefully some of us will fight alongside you in the forest man.

I actually prefer pharis because of the distance and in his honor as a hunter. The timing is hard though because of the headshot stagger they go through.

By the way, would anyone be interested if I made a guide to Cosplaying Shiva? I can't exactly do a stats build, but more so gear, uses, etc. Anyone interested in this?

Now that is what I'm talking about twisted - you were up against stacked odds and wound up on top!! What more can you say - especially using the Partisan - very unique and stylish I must say.

Yeah - some of these reds are acting weird - my wariness of them has only increased lately. I had one invasion today in which a red did lend a hand (it was 2v1v1) but he got pissed when I killed the host. The red did not realize the host and his buddies had banged me twice before so I all I had on my mind was some of Alvina's vengeance served up nice & cold. I sent him a PM with my apologies but he did not respond - I guess he is still pissed I stole his reward lol! .

Keep up the good work and no mercy for gankers.

Haha partisan - it is the dex users pike silly it is also quite lightweight at 4.0 :L so can easily be used as a rh secondary for when RTS ring procs as you can poke from a distance and still get hard hits, also the 2h roll attack is godly

Post by Brokewilly Mon Apr 09, 2012 12:52 am

Ok people - I'm starting to see some very weird things in the forest. Here's my question - what can a host physically do to a white/yellow phantom other than banish them? Specifically, can a host attack a white/yellow phantom? I am not sure what I saw and unfortunately my PVR is unreliable right now (getting newer model soon) so I did not record sad - it appeared the host casted something which kinda looked like poison cloud (same purplish color but it did not spread like it nor make the same crazy noise instead it sounded like the crackle of electricity) on his yellow phantom!! The yellow phantom appeared to dissolve in a way I have never seen before (I did not have a clear line of sight because there were a couple of trees blocking my view from the direction I was approaching) - then the phantom killed message appeared and I received some souls. There were some NPCs still alive but I have never seen any of the NPCs do anything like this so I don't think it could have been one of them who used this weird attack. I'm like WTF??? So while I'm coming down the hill from Alvina's place into the trees to see what the heck that was - another hunter invades, engaged the host and killed him. By this time I'm not even thinking about banging the host I'm still trying to figure out what this host did to his minion. Could it have been a glitch?

Has anyone seen or heard about anything like this?

I've never heard of anything even remotely like that, unless somehow the toon counted as a blue or red so the host could kill them somehow?

    That would be interesting.

Oh yeah on what hosts and summons can do, they can parry eachother. That's the extent of what they can do to one another.

Yeah, I've managed it a few times when I've White Invaded because of that random glitch. Hard as hell to pull off though unless the host is going for a Chain BS.

You can actually do it if they spam R1 with the BKGA. Because of its crazy swings and angles if you just press against their side you can usually get it.
