I didn't wanna call them "black" though in case you didn't like that term.
But their descendants are from africa. And they live in america. African American. (i just figure that's how it works, i don't really know)
Political correctness is bull
It focuses on dividing people.
I'm not african american, my friend isn't german american, the chick across from me isn't korean american, we're all just americans.
Further, what if I'm from spain? am I still african american, or am i just a spaniard, like everyone else from spain, and I simply happen to be black?
Afro-American - Black American.
Afro-Spaniard - Black Spaniard.
You were born in America, so you're an african american. African meaning your descendants are from Africa. When you fill out a job application if you're from America and you're black, you'd check the "African American" box.
And if someone was born in Germany and moved to the states, yeah, they are a German American.
