Why are so many people against pc porting ? It could potentially inject massive interest into the franchise and allow the the title to be able to punch out dlc content after and more often.

I understand that people can take advantage of the application layer and hack into it easier but I'm sure if they are talking about a port then they have already analyses this area also.

If it is just dlc then that would be great !!

Either of these 2 options are great IMO however a curve ball would also be great

I think frankly that there's nothing wrong with them PC porting it. In my opinion they wouldn't be doing it if they couldn't transfer it over, and if it lets FROM improve the series further then I wouldn't complain at it.

However, this depends entirely on the PC version working properly, rather than a half-assed cash in on the part of FROM and Namco

Personally I would rather they concentrate on a new souls game completely. I have found DLC to never truely be worth the money. I wouldn't like to see it released this year either as I feel that would be too soon after dark souls. I find too many series try to pump the next game out too soon after the previous.

Well they seem to have a 2 year cycle on their hands for the series, so no worries about that, 2013 would be ideal

However considering there is such hype for Dark on this announcement, it's gotta be something big really.

From wouldn't really be involved much on the PC port, at least it is not being released in Japan, though I'm sure they would get a portion of the money from sales since it is their title. Namco-Bandai would be doing most if not all of the work on a PC port, From Software only has 205 listed personal. If they plan to do a new game they'll need them all.

I ant got no problem on a pc port, but for gods sake at least make a fcking patch for the game thats already out and not pull some bs.

I would like some dlc, I just hope they fix DkS, before doing another game, it would just be very bad business, I'd lose a lot of respect for FROM.

Any ways, From can't really do much to "fix" dks. The problem lies in p2p connections instead of servers. No servers, no fix. All we can do is hope they learn from the mistake and use servers next go around.

Apart from DLC, and apart from the P2P issues, they could polish the game by adding more covenant functionality in the form of a patch.

I wouldn't say that, I kill many while surrounded by shrubbery.

I would love to see one thing, some better rewards for killing a host in the forest. In regards to covenant polish, other than that I'm pretty happy with that cov, I never really have any issues with any others.
