Weapons that Ignore Blocks

I'm trying to work out which weapons ignore shields entirely, ignoring the stamina bar entirely. I've seen a few but usually die so fast its hard to see what they were. Also telling weapons of the same class apart is pretty tricky to.

I know Great Axes can do it as I've been one shot through the shield a few times now, but again, not sure which one it is.

So is there a good list anywhere on the forum or wiki that a search is not finding?

The Shotel is the only one that bypasses shields entirely, Great Axes break guard easily.

No no, not guard breakers, that would mean my stamina bar gets emptied. Mine is usually full after a suprise attack from these weapons. (and no I don't mean a BS)

I know, but the Shotel is the only one that does it dead on. However, shields have 'dead Angles' and weapons like the Great scythe and Curved greatswords easily prey on these.

Ohhh so you mean some weapons actually strike from the side while the user is infront of you? That sounds like what is happening to me actually, I've been heavy attacked by great axes a few times now and I think they must swing up under the shield!

Not under, but just the side. The BKGA for example can hit you while you are almost behind the opponent even if your shield is up.

Basically it is an unintended part of common PvP on part of From. If you swing and turn, your weapon will hit where it would if you were still aiming at them, but ignores the shield. As well weapons like scythes can swing around as well, it's kind of a hiccup in how the hit boxes work really. I do it a lot with my Murakumo.

its not a bug really. dead angle is when they manage to hit your side or back while your shield is up and this can be done while being pretty much in front of you. a lot of weapons such as the BKGA have the ability to hit your side or back while being at your side but not right in front of you.

is it possible your using a shield with really low stability? if you got hit by a str weapon of that class it would drain your stamina in an instant.

Nope Like I said, stamina is always still full. its a Grass Crest shield +15 pretty much nothing gets through it now.

But don't worry, like I said in another thread just now I'm off to do something different now as I finished the game already and there is nothing left to do in it. Thought I was going to pvp some more but its 90% trolls now and not worth the effort.
