by McTrikster Tue Apr 10, 2012 2:20 pmI'm starting a faith based melee build, and was wondering what a great weapon would be for it. I already have a +10 divine claymore, and a +9 divine avelyn for range. Are there better weapons I could be using? Thanks in advance for any help.

I like using the ultra Greatswords, but the cresent axe scales B in Faith and Grant scales A. I believe there is a Faith bow too. I usually take a weapon to normal +15 and use Sunlight or Darkmoon blade buff.

I run a faith/melee build with Grant. I usually waste enemies in one shot, regardless of what weapon they use. For a faith weapon, Grant is pretty nasty, especially with its 2h WoG special.
Depending on your level, the +10 divine sword may work well for awhile, but eventually you'll want to trade up for the Crescent Axe or Grant, or a faster divine weapon if you feel that's necessary.

If it has more Faith than Str/Dex then consider occult weapons. If it has more Str/Dex than faith (like a paladin) consider good scaling weapon (A or S) with Sunlight/Darkmoon Blade.

It's gonna be 18 str, 16 dex, and 50 faith by the time I'm done.
