XD that would be amazing if that was true. Oh if we had met up with the tridents we'd never stop the dance party.

I'm used to having enough poise to use my halberd's 2h r2 to break there poise and scare them. Seriously in only does like 200 extra compared to an r1, but the poise break destroys even havel's. And now I can't because the interupt me. Though I did learn that backing up after a backstabbing gives you the room to hit them with a CSS for the kill.

(please someone get this and play along so I don't feel stupid)

    You feel stupid.

Anyway, I had an invasion last night using the Iaito. Threw on SLB, munched some grass, and immediately go down to 5% without dealing any damage. Then I proceed to land 14 backstabs without taking a hit (I counted), and eventually the host forgot to heal after I bsed him. Pull out ye olde Murakumo, bs him once more, and it's over. It was one of the best invasions I've ever had.

I also kept invading one guy who was hosting PvP. He was somewhat honorable (1v1 exclusively), but kept healing his phantom as I fought it, but that was fine, I was destroying them anyway. Killed him twice with ripostes, thrice with backstabs, and several times with the 1hr2 on the Iaito. The phantom was good at avoiding parries, but miserable at not taking hits.

TL,DR: Last night was one of the best nights I've ever had in the forest.

*back pat* there there, consider it a gift from Alvina. I've yet to get something like that. I have gotten some decent duels though.

Although I am still a novice compared to most of you guys, I have gotten better at parrying in PvP.

Specifically, tonight I faced a guy and managed to get my first parry on a spear (I had to spam paary and eat some hits, but oh well). He then stood up, I parried him again, and it was all over.

He then complimented me on it and my "badass street fighter look", and that's when I decided to stop for the night happy

End it on a high note, huh? I can't parry very well tonight, it's been laggy and the timing is just so weird when there's lag.

GAH! I left my cat ring on while I typed that! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I died, so whatever, but I afked an invasion... *gags*

Exactly. I always lag enough that I can get lagstabbed when someone apperas to be in front of me or to be hit by a lunge from ~2 weapon lengths away, but never enough that I would seem to teleport to them.

So basically, I hate lunging attacks, meaning that all the rapiers and katanas I fight really anger me, now that I am getting decent at being able to parry some greatswords and such.

Whats up guys! Ive been invading the whole evening after work today and did like 40 invasions. most of em where 1v2 bangs but i found a couple of nice duels also. Now i was getting banged alot and i finaly invade a guy who was alone, so i bow and we start fighting. I even managed to get a nice parry and riposte of on him and the guy was almost dead and started running. So i chase him for a bit and all of a sudden that SoB pulls his internet out.... what you call a bad loser lol. Do you guys see this alot? It was a first time for me that someone did that and i think its just lame. Imo the guy should just take it and die like a man!

Also a few questions: Im thinking of making the GSOA is it any good for pvp? Im using my murakumo mostly and i just love that beast. My stats are 28str 40dex 14int and 20faith so i need a few more points in int for the GSOA to work nice. I was also thinking maybe instead of going for the GSOA i should pump faith to 30 to buff my mura with slb, my mura does 550AR atm without it and i think it will be beast with the buff, but as i plan on just keep on leveling as i get the souls for it maybe the GSOA will do more dmg in the long run? Can anyone confirm this? I dont want to waste my time farming demon titanite if the sword is gonna suck anyway silly.

Thanks alot and happy hunting my forest brethren!

Edit: I just did my last invasion for tonight and i come in the guys world as a white phantom, i heard about it but this is the first time it happened to me lol!

GSoA is beast if you've the stats for it. I prefer the divine version, seeing as I have 40str, 50dex, 40fth, and 50int. No need to restrain yourself with leveling if this is your hunter.

As for the DCing, I've seen it alot. Usual when they're about to die they cut the connection. There to chicken to try to fight back once there butt buddies have been killed. Remember their names so when you find them again you can just mess with them. I prefer the dung pie and poison knives approach.

Be like me and get every stat you possibly can. Your FH will eventually be max level, so pump whatever stat you need at the time.

I still prefer the MLGS over it though, mostly because the GSoA is hefty beast and I like the fast rolling I'm doing with the MLGS and DSB. But once my end hits around 80~ then I'll be gutting the gankers like Artorias would have.

Skare - dual wielding GSoAs  - now that would be interesting. I have never seen or heard of that that before. Have you gave such a build-out a whirl in the forest? Would definitely like to know how that turned out.

If I could I'd grow a third arm, and wield a 2nd MLGS in that. Dunno how that'd work, but it'd be amazing. I was thinking of making a moonlit knight sort of setup, with the crystal ring shield, mlgs, butterfly horn and tcc. But that sort of fell through when I realized it'd be extremely fragile to acid surge.

Fellow hunters and allies - got three vids for everyone's viewing pleasure. Well lets get right to it then :

This is 2 bout match against an honorable host. This host (a young lady cheers ) is a very good fighter as you will see in the vids. The main take away from both fights is WoGs can be countered/avoided easily  if the player knows what they are doing - these two fights reinforced this fact to me.

    https://youtu.be/QhZZtmdBf4g

I simply refer to this next fight as "Turning lemons into lemonade".

    https://youtu.be/FcHpuU9viN0

I hope everyone enjoy the vids. Always fight hard and die harder.Good hunting!!

Awesome videos. You're gonna be on the cover of Dark Souls Geographic for getting evidence of the thought to be extinct non chugging host. It always cracks me up to see some big guy trying to look intimidating while jabbing at you with what looks like a straightened coat hanger. Keep up the good work Broke.

Eki, message me if you see me on and I'll get you that sword

Thanks skare - it really means a lot coming from a fellow hunter. Yeah - I have developed a really good honorable relationship with the host in the 2 round bout vid. I can always look forward to a good 1v1 when I invade her.

The ganker in the 2nd video was definitely a serial estus chugger - I have been banged by that camper many many times. I never expect anything honorable from that camper.

Good times all around - these type of bouts make all of the bangs worth it.
