Elite cleric armour

Exactly which is why we need a high ranking forum guy to ask him and maybe threaten him a bit if he is hacking. For a start if he's trying to sell it for usd he needs a ban, and if hes hacking he needs a ban, and if hes not and this is legitimate he needs a pat on the back.

Sorry if you disagree but that is entirely uncalled for. No one here, I hope would ever resort to threatening the guy with a ban or something like that. I however agree that someone with clout. A mod, or Amin should approach him and see if anything can be gleaned.

He needs more than that lol, he would have found something that nobody else in the entire community up to this point has. Image what kind of praise the first guy to find out what the pendant does will recieve, then imagine one fifth of that amount of praise and that's about what I would credit to a legitimate finding of the Elite Cleric Armor.

Do you think there is a storyline to get the armor viral?

I know this was directed at Viral but here's my input anyway! People have speculated that if you get Petrus to admit to killing Reah and then kill him that the Elite Cleric Armor will appear somewhere on a corpse similarly to the way Leeroy or Jeremiah's corpses' appear. Obviously nothing has been found yet but it's the most lore-connected I believe the armor itself will get. Maybe if someone actually found said corpse then its location might reveal something deeper though.

I'd like to see a special way to kill Petrus or perhaps even a special location in say Darkroot Basin where you use the Pendant to find the Armour..... but hey thats just me.

Lol its probably a hacker, in which case i want his head. But it could also be a secret method of sequence breaking etc that he stumbled into and the game rewarded him handsomely and uniquely. if i were him id be keeping the secret for MYSELF HAHAHAHHA

Oh its just something people say often on other forums. I often hear people hypothesizing that the Japan player base know more about this game than anyone else. Obviously the native language of from means that they have access to allot more resources which we dont.

Many xbox players have acquired the elite cleric armor with savegame editing, this is nothing new.
Trying to sell it for $$ sounds to me like just another case of hacking.

Yes, it was a hack. He's on xbox, and you'll note that he carefully crops the video so you can't see his stats, which are likely 9999 etc. The infinite health bar when he cuts to his toon is a giveaway as well. The +10 on all the gear is presumably from having a zillion slabs due to hacking or the unspeakable glitch. Shame, because I use the reg. cleric set and would love to get the elite fairly.

God dammit they need to sort that out. Stat tracking would be a must if they repatch or release dlc. That way if they see anyone is hacking they can curse/block/ban/torment them.

Honestly ban them im so tired of seeing that and its really unimpressive. You can build your own games if you like and run around invinceable. I just dont understand why that's any form of achievement or fun, tbh its quite sad. Theres no reward at all for it. "Oh i exploited the xbox and now im unstoppable!" Yeah you are. Because the games coded you to be.

I wouldn't mind knowing what the item descriptions say, though.

From the comments, it sounds like the giftwraith was a japanese player, may even have been a From employee--there's a legend forming around this armor set already! Goes something like this:

Ever since the game was released, the community was hard at work trying to find all its secrets. But all the while, one piece of armor eluded them--the Elite Cleric Armor set. Was it tied to the Way of White covenant; was it Petrus; was it the Talisman? No one knew. They kept begging From for hints, but the company was tight-lipped... Until one vanguard employee hacked his game, and started handing out armor sets to whoever would pick them up. And that's when the thread started unraveling...

I don't know where it's going, but I hope the rest of the story has us finding the armor!

I think he was banned for trying to sell stuff on the forum.

That is known from the text dumps:
(items) worn by the warrior clerics of the Way of White, who are famous for being unyielding in battle. Among such (items), those that were black belonged to warrior clerics sent on missions, many of whom were high-level priests.

One of the speculated ways to get hold of it is from Vagrants, but how to create a vagrant that could potentially drop it is the hard part.

I've only ever ran into 2 vagrants, and they both dropped humanity.

That item description definitely makes it sound like it's a reward for ranking up in Way of White... :/ Like the Dark set for DW+2, this looks like it would have been WoW+2.
