    Hey guys,
just finished my session of invasions in Tomb of Giants today, and had some great fights.
Between those, sometimes I'd run into a host that made me feel sorry for invading. Some are not turtles (since the equip is not the usual) but keep just blocking and retreating. Some seem to have problems with the lock on...and other "symptons" that give the impression that they're completely unexperienced regarding PVP.
Put in a few words, some battles are SO easy* you know the host must be a beginner. And when I win, I feel sorry for them! =/
Usually as soon as I return to my world, I put my summon sign at the bonfire, in hopes the person I killed will be the one answering, so I can help them.
Do any of you also feel this way?

*I'm not considering any kind of backstabbing, which I never use.

I feel the same way sometimes, I like the sign at the bonfire thing thats nice of you since there are other ppl that would just continue to invade until you either run out of humanity, move somewhere else, or just quit the game. When I invade someone more then once that I am clearly better than I usually message them and ask if they would like some help

I once invaded a gravelord with my darkwraith in the forest. We started dueling until a blue crashed our fun, and was subsequently shanked. We then stood there, bowed to each other, and after a PM decided that his chaotic evil and my lawful evil should team up to be just plain evil and farm forest invaders and vengeful spirits. It was quite a lot of fun.

I agree, I did feel a lot of guilt when I was killing people who were clearly new players with my Darkwraith. I hope Undead Burg dickwraiths don't get too much satisfaction, because i feel it's just not fun, no challenge.
So I started invading places that are likely to also be invaded by a blue phantom. It makes things interesting! SL60-70 in Anor Londo and Darkroot Garden, you invade a ton of people chilling around SL80+ just looking for PVP. I wish I had a recorder so I could put on youtube some of the best 3-way fights I've seen.

I know this thread is old, but it fits what I wanted to say. I actually try to balance my invading out by helping people. I am still new to pvp, so invading is great practice. I also like to allow people to clear an area before actually attacking, I dont attack when they have other mobs aggroed and the like. I know I am there to impede their play through, but it is part of the game... no need to be an *** about it.
Also, if I notice that they are either severly undergeared or aren't doing very well, I like to switch to a lesser grade weapon, something I am not that familiar with. I feel this evens the playing field a bit more.

If i were to ever become a darkwraith I would leave people who didnt want anything to do with the fight alone, i think its a very cowardly move to kill someone who isn't willing to fight back.

And FTR, i would mostly invade darkroot, and kill forest hunters when i invaded.

I actually stand by and let them summon phantoms if they want. I always bow, I do not block the boss gate, i always kill phantoms first (if able) because they have nothing to lose just like me, I do not heal, even if they do. Mostly I give them every chance to rid themselves of me. It is my own check and balance to the evil I feel when doing so.

I consider myself a good DW also, if I can avoid killing the weak I do and never gang up or use cheap tactics.

Where are these people when I go human. I get guys that circle me like were a couple of dogs fighting I usually just get bored and let them have it so I can kill the boss or whatever. And they always shrug or taunt me afterwards.

I just met one who was bragging about being a level one in the burg with full catarina's, chaos fire ball, great combustion and grass crest shield. He/she should definitely be filed under scum of the covenant.

I hate darkwraiths that come in, spam WOG then leave.
And while they are at it, do a cocky taunt over your corpse.

Typically, I only PvP in the Kiln, but the few times I invade in other areas and I run into someone who's scrambling for the bossgate, I'll just let 'em kill me for the souls. I never felt good about invading and killing someone who's just trying to play through the game.

imo lagstabbers are the worst, i hate how they bring their lag to your world thenn teleport to yourback and bs you with the hornet ring and youre dead, and then do they point down or do the well what is it thing, i just laught at stuff like that then switch to my pvp gear and use dried finger and kill them over and over again.

I'm the humbelest least attention seeking Dark Wraith this side of the mississippi, I will fight you if you don't believe me!

Yeah, I typically just BC out from those people, or equip weaker weapons to fight them and drop them a humanity so they aren't just out humanity from fighting me. I invade the Catacombs a lot, so I open shortcuts for people, point out weapons, and fight them after asking if they want to duel, if they say yes. Most say no, but some are interested so we duke it out. I'm just too kind to get into the full "Taking Humanity" spirit.

the most annoying types are the low level griefers, yeah, you must feel damn proud to bring a +5 fire club to battle against someone who is trying to level up or is just flat out new at the game.

Seriously, while playing as a low level sorcerer just starting the game invasions were annoying, and as much as i wanted to go human i didn't because 2 seconds later there was gonna be an invasion.

Thats halarious, Tolvo. I just did that not to long ago. Ran into him, bowed, he beckoned me forward, so I charged and he started to bow right as I hit him in the face. Backed off, he bowed again, estus, then just started going through the level. Kinda strange, so I just started leading him through the place. I just didnt have the heart to kill him.
In this respect, I miss the days of Demon Souls when you could invade but actually kill the mobs if you wanted.

@Sulfur. I came across a mage that didnt have a clue and I am assuming had a really bad set up. After dodging his spells for a bit and hitting him once, I just ran off. Again, I just didn't have the heart to follow through with it.

Wraiths are not good. Actual wraiths, not the duel exclusive kind, are never good.

It's kind of funny Zep, but it's like I've found a way to invade, and just observe people. I do this all the time, and many do die because if they're solo and new the catacombs is highly deadly. I can't tell you how many die to the bonewheels, one even to patches. So, I'm letting them progress and learn without me just running up and wrecking them as they're a new player and I'm experienced with PvP, but I still get my humanity. As well it's kind of interesting to see how people learn a level and navigate. I'm kind of like, the observer. I'll arrive, wait. If you die, I get something, if you don't, I get nothing. Now sometimes I find ganking groups and people who do want to PvP so of course I fight them, whom which I usually kill. Though I remember one time a guy with a GsoA utterly destroyed my face.

I'm kinda the same as well, players that seem like beginners or noobs or whatever I'm always like aw.. big grin And then I drop em a few +15 weapons or armor or whatever, and then ofc some gangers come, usually moving in 2, and just start spamming r1s and **** us whereas I try to defend the noob.. I had that situation once, really, people in the Forest who just join up to farm and gang others.. it's just pathetic..

They don't even have the decency to let you fight off the first person or duel him, they just deliberately come at you together. I bet they're 14\15\16 year old teens who're thinking they're having a lot of fun.. truly ironic. big grin
