The Would you rather thread

Okay, would you rather work everyday for terrible pay, but have your work highly regarded and appreciated by many, or would you work everyday for great pay but have all the work you've done burned before your eyes at the end of the day?

Bonus points for anyone who gets the reference.

So I'm getting paid lots to burn anything I do? Where is the downside?

You will never be acknowledged for doing anything worthwile and will live a purposeless life in a purposeless but well paying job.

Having a meaningless job does not make your life purposeless. I still have hobbies, friends and family.

Yes, but you are stuck in whichever of these jobs you choose, and any work you do, no matter what it is, will make you famous or not depending on your choice. Admittedly your life would not be completely meaningless, so put it this way instead: Eternal fame and recognition, or lots of money but no serious success or breakthroughs.

Thats actually a hard one for me because I want to contribute something big to society (hence Im studying mechatronics) but I also really like money.

Terrible pay if I can still somehow support a family on it, if not I'd take the higher pay.

baby skeletons, they are easy to kill before they get close
