lol, i get the same thing all the time from the wife, she's always asking me why i bought the rest of my games if im not gonna play it, i told her GT5, Uncharted3 and BF3 can wait. i pop in GT5 every once in a while cause sometimes i just need to relax instead of getting angry about how laggy dark souls can be sometimes.

Same here, only that I can turn of BF3 at any point and not worry about anything. Say if I only have an hour to play or so, I'll pop BF3 in and start a match. When it's time to quit, I just do it without hesitation.

I can't really do that in DkS.

Actually, my mother would be the one that annoys me most.
I'm on mic all the time, and she'll make comments about my comments.
"Yeah, the *** spammed WoTG after catching me with TWoP..."

"Next time you should roll away from the spell then."
She doesn't know what any of the spells do, she just recalled me telling my friend you can dodge nearly anything by rolling and regurgitated the info on me.

My friend was over watching me struggle to try and kill Havel for the first time, I was on attempt 12 or 13. And he says this real winner,

"The game looks so simple, its just dodge and attack. Skyrim's combat is so much more complex."

I was totally at a loss for words.

i recomended my freind the dark soul, he got it, didnt hear from him for 3 weeks, got a phonecall, he said after you kill the big demon where do you go ive been running around the asylum for 2 weeks..........

Skyrim's combat is so much more complex

I will admit though... after not playing for a month and a half, not having lock on abilities can be a real bitc#.

dark souls combat is still way more polished. I could never see an elder scrolls game with a good M.P. (aside from the new MMO coming out)

Any question even mentioning honor or fair play.

Otherwise its, "How do I get __________?" or "Where do I go from ________?"

We have a wiki for a reason, and the archives when that fails. Everything fairly readily avalable, no need to clutter general with inane questions.

Its less the repition and more that googling the name of the place or item will take you almost directly to the wiki or forum post detailing the answer to the question, so why ask here? It takes longer and is generally less detailed.

And the honor threads are useless flamewars in most cases. The fualt lieing with the fact that the term honor is a subjective concept, and so by nature inexact in its definition and nothing is ever truly fair. All else asside, skill and chance always lend someone the advantage, however slight.

The culteral facination with fairness is probably the worst thing to happen to for a good 500 years. Life isn't fair. Forcing it only hinders those better suited to their varying tasks in their attempts to excell.
