How to counter roll backstab?

I'm getting pwned by this, main reason I lose most matches. Instead of ranting about it, I want suggestions on ways to counter it. Should I change my fighting style and concentrate on doing the roll backstab?

Really, I have no idea. Usually my Rapier is fast enough to recover so I don't need to worry about that. So I guess not to throw out to many random moves since the roll bs is a counter move.

i have trouble with this too, thankfully not many players can preform them successfully. some people are crazy when it comes to roll bs. i am no good at them. i always screw up when i try to reposition myself after the roll.

Yeah I guess they are trying to counter my Great Club, but I've noticed that some players are just relying on it or fishing for it. I have a Dex build who didn't recieved many roll bs so I think you are right. Also I get caught by a medium roll roll backstab. You know I quit the game. :x

I'm not sure if this will apply to countering roll bs efficiently but if your charatcer exits the weapon swing animation quick enough try rolling into your opponent with or without lock on engaged. Best way to avoid it at all cost is to not be too predictable with your weapon swings or combos. Take your time and do some footsies which is what i do most of the time to avoid lock on forward dash bs and pivot bs.
