I didn't buy the upgrade materials - I earned them or on insane aren't you allowed to upgrade anything at all?

tking said you bought stuff... Though you aren't allowed elemental weapons

I didn't buy anything though? I am aware I wasnt allowed fire - I only upgraded that to fight gwyn with but luckily I haven't defeated him with it I got 9 Red *** Chunks from my trip through Lost Izalith and the Crystal lizards in Great hollow - also I got the RTS in LI 2 TS in Great hollow, 1 from onion boy story line and 1 from stray demon. anyway I got the spear originally from a hollow soldier spear wielder and the Baxe from the Hollow BAxe user, only rule I broke was upgrading the Baxe to fire I believe?

Nope - only via upgrading - I downgraded my spear from +15 once already just so I could repair via upgrading xD I only have two TS's left xD

oh nvm i thought you bought your materials for you baxe sorry about that. But yeah do make sure you read both the ground rules and the difficulty rules again before the ng+ as im always updateing the rules. sorry for the misunderstanding.

^^ Haha its fine bro, I will attempt NG+ though perhaps not on Insane xD - maybe drop to Hard so I can perhaps use Leo ring or something xD then NG++ will be dropping to Normal for RTSr xD

Just finished it last night - was a pain in the arse!

lol, I'm probably gonna do it just on hard mode, not being able to repair OR level at all is beyond my skills with 2 months rust, I'll tell you guys when I'm done

I did it on insane Tarkus - lets just say I spent ages in the beginning farming a Longsword or Battleaxe to use from the beginning xD with that I farmed the spear from the spear hollows xD It was extremely hard just using my fists for a while.

Yes but remember i updated both the ground rules and the difficulty rules during your play through? so now theres extra challenges for ya on insane and theres some new ground rules for all difficultys as well :3

is insane even possible? this sounds fun like my next play through.

i did this with my first character kinda. i was deprived. and figured lvling was more important that buying stuff. i made it to the tarus demon then quit.

This looks fun! Starting a hard run right now.

3 hours in and still no weapon, or armor haha. Good news is I'm pro at parrying the mobs in the burg now! This is seriously good fun, really enjoying it, even with the lack of a drop! Brings back what I found awesome when I played for the first time, the feeling of "my god this **** is hard!"
