By the way Forum I was just curious have you ever looked at the worst pair of gloves in the game? Compare the Eastern Set gloves to any other pair of gloves in the game, if you haven't already your results will be hilarious haha.

Yeah, I had noticed that. Better off without them at all. Wear heavier boots or something.

Sadly a cosplay is a cosplay.
Though actually I feel like it is an error really. If you look at the Shadow Gloves, which has a code that would be very similar, it has stats that would be very appropriate for the Eastern Set gloves. In fact you'll get much more out of Eastern Chest, Helm, Shadow Legs, Gloves.

Regarding physics since I like science: I've only ever seen characters in game do handsprings and not actual flips. The difficulty is drastically different. I knew a gymnast in college who I am extremely confident could do handsprings in real life armor, assuming the joints (like in game) provided the appropriate range of motion. Extrapolating to demi-god status for in game purposes and Havel's is a possibility, particularly with magic that is actively assisting.

Re: The gear, and why its seen like it is.
Doing havels later today. Possibly in an armor or poise segment though. Will use identical builds with appropriate armor/ring swaps to show the comparison. My initial thought was that havels wasn't op but its the common tie in several different ways to have all of the benifits and none of the downsides of heavy armor.
The rofap is really good, but it just doesn't cut it for that type of setup, not without serious end gouging, enough that the hp gain from the ring is less than it would be if you put the end points over 40 into vitality instead.

Where does the term gouging come from?

No idea. Sounds like the opposite of what it is though, does it not.

It means for something to have a great value, whether that is through quantity or quality doesn't matter. So a Vit Gauged toon, would be a toon that focuses on Vitality and puts great importance on it.

Gauged makes more sense. But everyone says gouged, so I was confused o.O

That's just a word degrading over time.
It's how accents form as well.

Accents are overpowered. Pirate, can you explain why accents are overpowered? (This topic has gone way too offtopic. And i like it.)Tolvo wrote:That's just a word degrading over time.

Well I think discussing a term that is commonly used in regards to builds isn't too off topic. Vit/End gauging is fairly common.

Especially in some pyro builds, though i prefer 40 dex on my pyro. I wonder if an end/res gauge build would be worth anything.

You could always make a topic in the PvP discussion talking about the idea and requesting build ideas.

Re: The gear, and why its seen like it is.
In reference to the ring conversation earlier, checkout the relatively minor differences
http://tinyurl.com/84knyux
http://tinyurl.com/6p3fb9h
At 0 humanity mind you. Its a 299 hp difference and 50 ish defense but its at the diminishing returns point in both cases, so it won't do much. Havels makes it possible.
Without the MOF, hp is 1499 instead of 1517 on the second build with the mom.
Illustrating my point. The dwgr build gets a backup weapon and/or shield that the wolfs doesn't but hotswapping isn't to hard.
The DWGR is definitely the better build but havels+ wolfs is rather close I'd say.
Having trouble working out how to structure the segment though.

Re: The gear, and why its seen like it is.
I'd say the 300 hp difference is quite significant.
Other thing about DWGR if you don't need havel's ring, you can use FaP ring and get even more HP.
http://tinyurl.com/74o43a2
That gives a better representation of the power difference.

Still havels that makes it work. No DWGR 76 poise and all, reg fast roll.

Right. I was arguing for the wolf ring, not the havel's

Re: The gear, and why its seen like it is.
So wolfs would be casters hitting 56, not everyone else 76. Possibly.
Its still the equipment burden modification stacking. Rings make or break many competitive builds, based on that alone.
Dodge tanks would go nowhere.
