You know Havel right?

You know how Havel is closely located to Darkroot right? and how Darkroot used to be Oisioile (and yes I butchered the spelling )

I think Havel was chilling there until Seath presumably destroys... yeah..

So he was locked in the tower by Seath, since they were like enemies to each other and Havel couldnt smash his way out because the tower had most likely magic influence...

I dont know why Patches would lock him up. I think Patches just chills in ToG and kicks people. :3

Patches would totaly do something like that, but hes always chilling in the catacboms/ToTG because clerics are always going there. Bishop havel the rock was a Anti-Magic user and wanted sorcery off the planet, he thought it was blasphemy. im wondering if he wanted to find seath and kill him starting at Oolacile, since seath is blind im sure he wanted some mysticism to help him read his books. idk, noone knows why havel is down there. there is no evidence why he might be right outside the F***ing hydra...

Another reason why Patches couldve done it... He kicks off Clerics right? Bishops are the almost the same as Clerics right? (as in Church ranks) And you can make the connection...

So, if you guys believe that he was after Seath, then it may have been the Channelers who locked Havel, they're known as the snatches, if I am not mistaken. While they couldn't snatch Havel (or did they?) they managed to starve him.

He was locked in there by a dear old friend. For his protection of course. Epicname bro covers this satisfactorily.

epicnamebro he does get alot of things right. but sometimes i disagree with him. im a big dark souls lore junkie. i collect items just for the lore. the game doesint give you the lore straight forward which is what i love about it. YOU decide what happened with what the game gives you and get a new opinion with every item. and i believe.. the pendant has a HUGE story to it... it just s waiting for the DLC.. why else would nobody find its use? it been waiting for this dlc which has been planned all along. and that! my friends... has nothing to do with havel. now why would he suggest that. this game has been surrounded by fog ever since it came out, slowly becoming unshrouded, the pendant may be some kind of trap? it might be something artorias is looking for and will kill you to get it? you get pendants sometimes for killing people as a forest hunter. and artorias was in the forest. perhaps we are killing people, taking thier pendants. so alvina can decide if its what artorias was looking for since she was a good fri- no she is a good friend of artorias! just my theory, but pendants will have something to do with him...

Havel is a high ranking bishop who turned undead. Interesting to note is that while he turned undead early, Leeroy turned undead before him (as leeroy wass the first undead) meaning Havel whasnt been in lordran as long as him. He was locked up byt a dear old friend (likely the divine blacksmith explaining his proximity to oolacile).

For some reason there is a distinction between dead undead (skeletons) and Undead (humans without humanity)

oh... well now i feel dumb XD sry doughboy. but anyway undead isint humans without humanity, its humans who are cursed with the dark signs. who are reborn after death from bonfires. humanity keeps them from losing thier mind and turning hollow.

I don't think he was around during Oolacile. I believe more likely is that he traveled to lordran then lost his mind and went hollow. After doing so the Divine blacksmith lured him into the tower and locked him in there since he was too powerful to kill.

The blacksmith also put an enchantment on the door because Havel could have easily broken a wooden door
