Re: For the Glory of Alvina
I always wait my turn in the forest, yeah, and I also buff the BSS with CMW, it's pretty damn effective. Havel's is a great set because it takes three GS hits to stunlock when you're wearing the full set, which can be a real edge. I think you might have been the DW but I'm not sure. I'll check my players met list when I get online.

N_Raist wrote:Hey, I have just invaded a dragon glitcher who does infinite roar. It stuns you (you can not scape), which his phantom uses to kill you. I have recorded it all (with the "invaded the world of XXXX", so I can prove who is the glitcher). Can I do something to get him punished or something? I guess no, but...
Edit: hahah, defeated him (them). TWoP (first time I use it with sexy results), chainbs the phantom (sorry, but I had to) and then rollbs the dragonoid while he was triggering the roar.
I invaded these guys again and, with the help of another FH, we crushed them .
Good going on the dragon glitchers - I have been walking around with dragon ore hoping I would be invaded by one but no dice so far. So it appears TWoP may be a good defensive measure against the glitchThanxs for posting about ur victory. Keep up the good work!

current going on my new FH, Kiln and Dark Anor Londo build http://tinyurl.com/d9mkysk
Hornets ring is just to really frustrate the gankers, especially cause they will get a wakeup GC etc;

With the proper stats, which weapon has the highest actual BS damage (unbuffed)? Since that is the main attack nowadays in the Forest, I may make a BS build designed to OHK griefers.

Hornets ring + UGS (DGM or Zwei) I think will give the most damage.

Hm... A crystal Demon's Greataxe could be a OHK even without HR. But I would go with a chaos Zwei. If you only 2h it, it is 16/13, meaning you will be able to go on a very high VIT build.
At SL120, you can have 2012hp (with MotM, but without RoFaP), giant's set (without helm), DWGR and HR. It will be almost a OHK. You can go with PW if you really want to be killing with one bs/riposte.
With both mask and ring, you will hit 2586hp.
Edit: a chaos/lighting rapier/Ricard's rapier, even with HR, is not always a OHK. I would go with the ultraheavy classes, which will give you the most damage and will excel at trading hits if you wear giant/Havel.

Eki, I ran into you the other day on your fire demon - we mashed up a 2v2, annihilated them!

Did he use any pyro-locks? (Staggering with pyros and then locking them with melee)

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
He made use of the GC in the pyro locking with the GSOA - He swung the GSoA then used GC before strafing behind while the dude was stunned for a backstab - then he used a Wake-up GC - unfortunately the host proceeded to summon a 2nd phant - he killed 'you' with a Hornet ring BS - I was gutted, but then I fled for a bit, he summoned a 2nd phant - I got HR bs'ed swapped to my RTSr fled to the bridge turned around and tossed a GCFB hit them for 500 with the lava and I was casting CFW - it killed the rest of them after I died, they stood in the CFW residue to taunt me xD

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
Aw, I understand now.
He definitely wasn't me then. I try to lead in with my pyros and keep them locked in lava. I hate when gankers continually summon phantom after phantom.

I just got a double riposte against a ganker. I parried him and due to lag another hunter could riposte him at the same time as i did, the damage was ridiculous.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
We should do a forest hunter tournament some time. Like, have everyone dress formally (Black Iron suits) and then see who can kill the most gankers, who can get the best kill story/vid, who can come up with the silliest trick for the tag teaming tards etc etc.

Re: For the Glory of Alvina
DGA sounds like fun. I might give that a try, see how the BS compares. I still really love the Mura, but it is hard in the forest when you have 2 people trying to BS you. You need to kill one of them fast. Otherwise the host will be healing the phantom as you are BSing them.
Last night was fun in the forest, mostly. I'm winning about 1/4 to 1/3 of the fights (not too good, I know). But, many of my forest covenant invaders failed too. So, when we are both there, we split up the host and his phantom. Too many times, I got BS by the phantom while fighting the host.
Still got to learn the fine art of fighting 3 vs 1 ganking fest. Completely different type of PvP than I'm used to.
