1-10 what is the community's level of excitement on the Dawnguard DLC?

Mine is about an 8, it has me interested in Skyrim again.

I will throughly enjoy new Skyrim content.

Xbows? Mounted combat (Finally!) Dragon bone weapons?

I will say 6 but solely because there's also new Dark Souls content coming and I still have to finish old Skyrim content. Makes me feel rushed

That's what I'm looking for as well. I think the whole Skyrim experience just needs a real shot in the arm, for me. Hopefully this DLC is just what the doctor ordered.

To make my skyrim orc red again; I might be more interested. That, and ayleid ruins.

I wanted to see the Dwarves and the Snow Elves (the Falmer pre-genocide/slavery).

But it looks like it's going to be mainly about vampires.

Dwarves would be amazing. And If I met a snow elf faction, I would join them in a heartbeat and be their protector! We shall not let their grandeur fall to the corrupt, greedy Dwemer!

I hate High Elves and I have a bad feeling snow elves would be similar.

High elves are the invaders, Snow elves are those who are enslaved. Definitely less snobbish.

Yeah but I recall reading that snow elf culture once resembled that of the high elves so I have worries about more elves.

Wouldn't surprise me if it were the Dwemer who had the superiority complex, judging from all the texts and their remaining architecture/military technologies they appeared to be light years ahead of all their counterparts.

So I don't think any one race has a monopoly on "snobbishness."

High Elves are pretty snobbish though. I really, really hate them.

Well, EVERYONE hates the High Elves. They're the worst.

Where does being selective end and being a snob begin?

I wouldn't call High Elves snobbish. They're arrogant which is a different thing.

Arrogance is an unloved quality to many people's eyes. For a race that looks at the arcane, perhaps enlightenment would be best for them.

I might also note that dark souls splits the genders, but Skyrim does not do it as much; It is better to see the game as the view of true racism in every aspect.

There is a bit of truth to their attiyude, they probsbly have the most advanced culture as well while they are at odds, the psijic are with them.

Most advanced culture? I beg to differ. We kitties have progressed to the point of having rampant problems with debilitating recreational drugs. We're so durn cultured we can afford to sit around and waste our life on processed sugar.

Also remember, the Thalmor are not representatives of all Altmer. They are near to rebelling against the Thalmor actually for their treatment of other cultures, with many Altmer swaying to the views of the psijic.
