    True and good point but it takes a while to farm the titanite. big grin But we have manchines to do our farming now days big grin

    How long does it take to farm enough titanite to get up to +10 and wouldn't we need a few chunks?

    Not long. The slimes are right there. I'm pretty sure +10 is only large shards. Like I said, whatever you decide.

    I took about an hour or so of farming slimes, basilisks and rats in the depths and I got all my weapons (a rapier, scimitar and black bow of pharis) to +10 in preparation for the next mass infection...

    I also have a +5 fire whip, will the whip be banned from the event? I can easily remake my other two weapons, and I guess downgrade them if need be.

    Nope the whip is not banned. Just remember there are two classes of invaders. Normal level and gravelords with normal weapons for the area and overpowered invaders the overpowered weapons are for them.

    Man you guys are lucky with the drops. No we are going to the the +5 normal path after queelag, however this can change because that is in a way a bit far down the road. for now the Depths will be +5 normal upgrade for normal pvp.

    Even 30 is way higher than I usually am in the Depths, so I'm probably not the one to ask. I have a sl 30 gl who I keep in the Depths, though, and it seems to be a good level for the area for co-op and pvp.

    Gravelording works on the same SL range as coop, so you need to be within that normal coop range to Gravelord effectively. The Catacombs are probably better off in the 50-60 range, your SL 21 should head off to the Parish and Gravelord there. Hanging out by the Sunlight Altar worked out very well during the tour!

    I got home from work and went to the altar, I purposly left the dragon alive so I could try to wait down just out side of the rats room for an invader to start to materialize so I could agravat the dragon and use him to do my dirty work but I never timed it right. Got the idea from once when I beat the Taurus, went straight to the bridge and was working on the dragon from down below when I herd someone invadeing when I was lettting an arrow fly, and when it struck the dragon and the invader was on the bridge, the Dragon torched his *** good. That was the easiest fight I ever had. Long story short, I wasted a lot of humanity and eyes cause my PVP stinks, BUT I still had fun. Has any one tried this tactic and got it to work other than by accident.

    I'm not sure about the +5 path for the Depths. +10 is a bit high but it's likely that most of us won't have scaling stats at SL30 so they won't be too overpowered. Besides, I don't really like the balance of damage at +5, it makes some weapons nearly unviable. Coupled with the advanced armor some people were using, I really think it just took too long to kill people at +5. I usually have a weapon doing around 250-300 AR to fight Quelaag, and I won't ever use anything under 225 to fight the Gaping Dragon, it just takes too long. (That's without the bb glitch) No weapons at +5 and SL 30 will be doing enough damage to players, they're barely strong enough for PvE.

    @BT, Honestly I never thought of luring the dragon that way.. mmmm maybe we can call that 1 vs 1 gank hehe.

    @Ghadis, I agree with you on principle but we are allowing resin buffs and the pyro flame is up to +10 now. Additionally some might choose to put stats towards wielding a stronger weapon instead of focusing on vit or end.

    With regards to the bosses, every one should have a fully leveled back up weapon which they are free to use on the boss. So fighting a boss with a lower level weapon should not be an issue.

    I'm not saying I'll actually have difficulty with the boss, just that +5 isn't appropriate for the Depths even in PvE. I'm just saying the game balance is better when fights aren't incredibly long because my longsword only does 40 damage on the opponent.

    @ Ghadis - 1st problem is your using a longsword. silly

    @DxV - I have already been test gravelording the depths at 30 and I am getting alot of action. Any higher would put us outside the nominal range I think. I also liked the fact that with a +5 the fights lasted longer, which is why I reccommended we keep that limit. I got to watch and participate in some pretty epic 5+ min fights. Remember this is about the quality of the experience, not the quantity of people you are able to kill. About 60% of my fights during the event were with participants. The other 40% were griefers, but even a couple of them joined in on the fun eventually. Events like this are exactly what the community needs.

    Right, I know you did not say you would have trouble with the boss bro. You just said you usually fight the boss with stronger weapons. I understood your point, but I do not think I said you would have trouble with the boss.

    I only mentioned that because you brought the point about the Bosses.

    But a question for you,

    So getting a stronger weapon at +5 and +10 pyromacy and fire and lighting pine buffs do not count in your equation for balance?

    I would like to hear others input in this.

    I would think at this point people would be looking for stronger weapons. My reinforced club has a higher AR than the long sword. Ghadis, if you need a specific weapon just let fed or me know and we can get it to you if necessary.

    Ya I would be ok if we went up to +10. With our limited stats most of us will only hit an AR of around 200 with the smaller weapons and 250+ with some of the larger ones.

    But my feeling is most people will now be able to use some of the heavier weapons now that they have the stats for them.

    So I am guessing we may see some Mura's, Great-Serpent Sword, or other heavy weapons, and if they go to +10 they may hit 350+ AR even with the lower stats. And anyone with low HP would be 2 shotted. Which is why I reccomended we stay at +5.

    I would also reccomend we either ban weapons unpgraded by demon titanite or we only let them be used un-upgraded.

    I was wondering the same thing, sounds like +5 fire is okay only to deal with invaders sporting similar gear. But the fire resin is allowed.. so it kinda weighs out? Maybe I understood wrong though.

    Fear we only are allowing fire or lighting resins for normal invader and normal gravelord invader defense.

    A +5 fire would be for griefers/overpowered invaders only

    Every one should have 2 weapons. You got it right Yukon.

    My own opinion is that +10 is really not normal at this stage. I am looking back at my first play through. Also, we have a lot of game left so we don't want to go too fast in leveling up things etc
