Yes if they manage to invade one of us and somehow win we shall Put them deeper on the list to get revenge (they deserve the point)

I disagree. Methods are just as important as motives. The ends cannot justify the means. In my mind by discarding honor you lower yourself to the level of the sinners and become no better than them. I will not support an alliance between our covs however the final decision falls to Zack. I will advocate neutrality however.

A blue eye for a red Eye.
We are spirits of Vengeance. Vengeance implies more more of a "what goes around comes around" ideology than a lawful one. This is how DM's are supposed to operate. everyone has their own stance however.

Re: Messengers of Velka
We are supposed to be better than the sinners; if we abandon armor how are we any different? Our codes differ to such an extent that we cannot be allies in my opinion.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind regardless of color. I believe in making the guilty pay the price but I won't become what we hate to do it.

How YOU think they are supposed to operate.
I'd consider the very fact that they are hunting down the sinners and Unhonorable people that they themselves would have to adhere to a code of honor. Otherwise they are no different from that which they are hunting.
Not that i'm a part of either covenant, but I would see it very hard for you to be allies.

Also it all just comes down to your ideologies and beliefs on life. Does killing a killer make you one yourself? I do not believe so. That's why I have the opinions I do about DM's.

Re: Messengers of Velka
So I'm not just a self righteous *** then? Good to see at least somebody shares my opinion of how the DMs should be by the way Revan. Mind you it's just that, an opinion.
Regardless Revan sums up my opinions nicely. We need not be enemies but I don't view an alliance as possible. As I said though I defer to Zack for the final decision if you decide to propose an alliance. He did give me permission to carry out diplomacy however so I suppose my word does count for something.

Re: Messengers of Velka
As an invader , regardless of covenant , I would suggest to always adjust your code of honor & rules to the host.
If they are jerks you will notice it pretty fast anyway
I believe you will have much more fun this way , rather then killing the host without honor at all costs.

Just me and xzDennizx. We are definitely slow moving but I wasn't expecting to make very many friends. We are revolutionaries, most DM's follow a code of honor and most Darkwraiths do not like the idea of purging sinners.

Thank you Dough, I appreciate the help.

That wouldn't follow the RP of this covenant though. If we started doing that then we would be too bland.

If they did that they wouldn't me much different than us. At least now we are distinctly different covs. I don't agree with your methods but I prefer having a rival DM cov with differences than a similar rival cov.

Chain BS should be nerfed for 1.06, that shouldn't be possible.
But if it gets sinners...

Re: Messengers of Velka
Haha nah your fine man. (I'd see your username ) Its just in the burg I only run into one darkmoon. if you bow to him he will do the aforementioned trick on you.
I've run into a couple of nice DM's but overall I would far sooner trust a DW.
Chain BS is broken **** and it should not be there. however neither should the dragon glitch and if I can use it to combat that then I aint complaining
(although once I lost my temper at some gankers in the forest and Chain BS'ed a phantom 8+ times. not proud of that but yeah.)

Re: Messengers of Velka
I read through some of the posts in this thread and I've come up with a crystallized opinion on this covenant. And let me just say that I think the saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, it's better if you don't say anything at all," applies here.
I wish you luck with your covenant, but that's all the support you'll be getting out of me.

Re: Messengers of Velka
Thanks for the offers guys, tough at this point I'm not looking to join a new covenant. Will keep both of you in mind, but the timing just isn't right.
In the near future, who knows. I was just dropping in to sort of at some of the ideas I've seen floated around these parts.

Re: Messengers of Velka
I think people would get the opinion that since we do not use honor we have no skill.
That isn't true, we take the best and can hold our own in a duel between friends. (other darkmoons of course via red soapstone.)
Edit: also added ragequitting as something taboo.
